The mud was taken from the pool and put into these vessels. We were tasked with taking handfuls and putting it all over our body until we were totally covered.

Then, we entered the mud pool. The mud came up to my mid-thigh, so this was just getting more covered in mud, and not really taking any off yet. In the back corner there the mud was coming into the pool, and it was super hot.

A mudpool subsides and sinks back into the ground as it slowly dries out.

It was fun trying to get a good shot fo the mud exploding. This is also in the centre of Rotorua.
