Still frame from "Moving Forward?"

COMM2203 Student Work Group 13

Semester 2, 2010

Synopsis: ‘A video about the election of Julia Gillard as the first female Prime Minister and how it was received by the public. We felt that it was not given enough recognition as the historic moment it should have been, and we explore this in a series of interviews with experts and the general public.'

The future may appear expansive, but the past is always in my peripheral

ok first off really quickly, this isn't an HDRi or multiple images, just multiple processes of the same image.

So what I've been experimenting with is outputting several different versions of one image to photoshop from lightroom or acr and layering them.

In Lightroom I create a B&W version tweaked for luminosity and export to photoshop for the background layer, then add various lightly tinted overlay or color layers in order to get the effect I want. Still not perfect, and I'm noticing even the slightest vingette builds up quickly with overlaying. I was wondering if anyone else has any experience doing this or tips for better results?

Thanks to support from UNICEF and the EU, STAN youth organization has brought together 75 young people from the Lugansk region who are over the age of 14. This is crucial at a time when eastern Ukraine and many of the families who live there are torn apart by conflict.

Alot of not so great things are happening at the moment.. but i do believe that everything happens for a reason as cheesy as that might sound. That when shitty things happen its a lesson or a chance to grow even stronger from a situation (: & i can't help but still feel blessed even when things are not going my way. I am healthy, I have a roof over my head, I have my mom, my sisters are healthy & happy, & i have a great best friend ♡ so there is still so much to smile about. I use to be scared of change but now i happily embrace it especially when its for the better, so this is no just an ending.. but a new BEGINNING. 😘 #positivity #lifequotes #wisequotes #newbeginning #embracechange #optimistic #optimism #happiness #staypositive #goodvibes #quotes #stolen #repost #tumblr #movingforward #bestrong #inspiration #inspirational #motivation #blessed #thankful #grateful - britneybeauty

This is a dead tree in my backyard.

As long as I have know this tree,

it has

been dead.

I sometimes think about cutting it down-

but for some reason, I know it has to stay.

I don't know what it represents.

I don't know why it is here.

I just know that it belongs to the past of

someone else.

And now, it is mine.

"There is a lot of talk in Ukraine that the youth should participate in politics, in business and in the civil movement,” says Yaroslav Minkin, head of STAN youth organization. "But most often young people have very limited access to decision-making processes because they are not told about ways to make an impact at schools, at home and or even among friends. That's why we teach them leadership, critical thinking and activism.
