It's time to get the troops out of Iraq. What we're doing isn't working and it looks like Bush will try to get us into Iran next. If that happens, the shit will hit the fan and we are totally screwed.
I am trying not to get completely disheartened but I feel so at odds with this administration. We are spending a fortune in Iraq and have been for years and arguably Iraqis are worse off than before we went in there.
And what about Osama bin Laden? Bush uses 9/11 as an excuse for everything--meanwhile we are making things worse and worse in the world (not least for Americans).
I have been doing some meditating and praying for peace and love and understanding. I will try to be more loving to those around me and continue to state my views that the direction this country is going is not the direction of progress.

1-13-26 - at the headquarters for US Customs and Border Protection a rally was held to call for a cease to funding ICE by congress and to remember Renee Good who was murdered by ICE terrorist Jonathan Ross.
Per the Richmond Times-Dispatch there were about 180 people in all there.

We first started grouping together at 1st & Salmon, but then were found by someone from the Senator's office who pointed us across the street to the right building.
Each pair represents an Iraqi or US soldier killed in the fighting.

i have a cute video of him saying "lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of people don't like the war." We counted the cars that beeped and flashed peace signs at us - about 200 over 40 minutes or so.

Teabaggers were out too when we rallied at Blanche Lincoln's office in favor of real health care reform. I wanted to tell this guy that moveon.org WAS at home. I live about 4 blocks from Blanche's office.
