Hundreds of new students moved into their respective dorm rooms Saturday with the help of dozens of residential advisors and Pomona staff members. With most new students moved in by noon, families shared a meal at Frank Dining Hall before students met with members of the Orientation Team, their resident advisors or their sponsors to make first connections with the Pomona community. The Class of 2029 took a class photo on the steps of Carnegie Hall in the afternoon, then did the traditional Through the Gates with President G. Gabrielle Starr, entering through the College gates for the first time.
BicycleWORKS is moving to its new location. Today, about 35 volunteers moved 8,453 pounds of bike-related items by bicycle to the new location, three-miles away.

We Move Africa! is a non-partisan collaboration designed to engage thousands of
youth voters across Africa, with a specific focus on increasing voter turnout among young people. This initiative aligns with our mission at Africa Teens City to
empower and mobilize teenagers to become proactive community leaders and agents of positive change. As part of our collaboration with TED Democracy, we had over 100 teen attendees, the workshop was broken down into 3 segments - talks (by Mary-Pat Hector of Rise USA and Gabriel Marmentini, Polize Brazil), breakout sessions into smaller groups and a one-minute presentation from each group which was delivered on the TEDxLagos stage by the teenagers.
