Mouse Creek Falls is located in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It's a moderate 2 mile hike to reach, though mostly uphill. There was a bit of ice along the trail as we started out which made things a bit more challenging but overall not to bad.

This mouse was very tiny, body size only 2" at most, but this image is cropped. I could have cropped further, but didn't want to cut off his crooked tale. I was amazed that he let me get as close as this. I asked him what he was eating, and he said "a chip, of course!" It looks like a chip of food to me.
HMMM (Happy Macro Mouse Monday!!)
Monna and I were lucky enough to see the Modest Mouse show at Williamsburg Brooklyn. The first night 7-23-10 was canceled due to a tornado warning after 5 songs. They re-scheduled for 9-14-10 and did not disappoint, a truly rocking show.
She's been a good helper. I usually post these pics on my other account sherbet* and use this one just for my wigs. But I wish I hadn't started two now . Easier to post in just one!
Stupid ISO but I will try again in better light. A magical evening as a sparrowhawk skimmed past me (for the second night in a row) just above this mouse's head.

Kitten Coco, ihr erstes Photoshooting.
Tochter mit ihrer Katze ist ausgezogen und Coco ist jetzt die neue Gefährtin für meinen Kater Orco.
Coco ist jetzt 10 1/2 Wochen.
++++++++
Kitten Coco, it's her first photoshoot.
My daughter has moved out with her cat and Coco is now the new companion for my male cat Orco. Coco is 10 1/2 weeks old
Maybe Kitty won’t notice the intruders if they live up to their reputation and don’t make a sound.
This Blythe doll is Odette Lake of Tears for the theme “Quiet as a mouse” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
Squeak!
This is my MNF Chloe. I wish i'd taken some pics of her when I got her because she was in super bad shape. I'm a bit dissapointed because the seller told me she was white skin, but she's normal, so I had to rethink my faceup plans. No matter, she turned out adorable!
I also found some spare Leekeworld ears I had lying around after another doll was sold, and so she's sporting some cute ickle mouse ears!
I think she's so cute, I can't wait to have some nice clothes for her. I'll keep this wig for her though, I'm happy with her bare essentials look X3
She just needs a name x.x She's Dervish's demon familiar and hangs out with him, helping him with his spells and occasionally his love life. Nothing like sending a halfling demon to win the heart of your crush XD

Well I'm back from a quick two-day stint at the Disney World with tons of great photography. It goes without saying that much of this great stuff wouldn't of happened if it wasn't for the folks at WDWphotography.com for arranging a photowalk week at the mouse house. One which had many photo-loving disney fans and some fellow flickrites roaming the lands searching for new and exciting ways to capture what makes Walt Disney World one-of-a-kind. I've met a lot of really great people, some i've been looking forward to meet as well as some new faces. I also met disney professionals Bob Desmond, Alain Boniec, and Lee McKee. Each one with -*decades* worth of experience capturing (and they are still capturing) all that magic that is Disney. They were very excited to meet us and told us lots of great stories while working for the mouse and shared their work. I particularly enjoyed chatting with Lee. He shared some really great photoshop tips and put together a large collection of great work he's done himself and with Alain.
Afterwards the group went to shoot Illuminations and the special Holiday edition of Illuminations. After the meet I ran to my car on the lot and came back to set up at the one location I had to re-do..the fountains of nations. The fountain itself is a wonderful base for long exposure but to combine it with fireworks is like that cherry on top it needs. So after waiting 20 minutes in the freezing Orlando weather that night, the wind was blowing around and my hands and fingers losing all sorts of feeling. I stayed there taking numerous shots as the show went on. This was one of the best shots i grabbed from the holiday version of Illuminations. This location was quiet. you could barely hear the music at the World showcase atop the constant flow of the fountain so I had to pay real close attention to the rockets as they flew up the pitch dark sky so I can hit the shutter at the right time.

Mickey Mouse was there first, enhancing the wall and bringing joy to the children. Family photos were placed there later on and little by little. However I was "never allowed" to take Mickey Mouse away. That was how he became a family member. :)
If I put my head in this grass they might not see me.
We came across this little field Mouse while out walking today. It tucked it's head into the grass in an attempt to hide from us. I took a couple of photos and left him in peace.
At Sculthorpe Moor N.R. Norfolk. These are captive bred at Sculthorpe then released onto the reserve where they thrive quite happily.
Many thanks to all who take the trouble to view and/or comment.

Wood Mouse - Garden. They appear to have nested under the stream liner and pop up around the stream from time to time to collect food spillage from the bird table adjacent.
Or, rather, the princess' house. I'm pretty sure this same Sorcerer Mickey Mouse statue is also in Paris, California, and Hong Kong. It seems like Disney has a penchant for recycling statue designs. I don't really have anything against this (except in the case of "Storytellers" in Tokyo DisneySea, where it's totally out of place). In the case of this, I really think a Mickey Mouse statue in Fantasyland right behind the castle works well. Mickey and the princess stories are pretty much the foundation of Disney, and they juxtapose one another nicely in Fantasyland.
