Long exposure shot over the windshield of my Mazda Miata. I slowed the shutter to 1/4 sec and waited for some interesting color and light.

Taken almost a year and a half ago. Been scratching in the depth of my files :-) Not the sharpest image in my stream, but at a 1 second exposure time, handheld I am sure I can be forgiven. I like this image because of the fairly static guy in red, while all around him it's in motion.

Instead of photographing something moving, I took a picture while moving my camera.

Suspended Motion of San Luis Obispo has produced an aerial arts and dance show--think of Cirque de Soleil. The show, "Eventyr, Into the Forest," is wonderfully animated and colorful and is performed today, June 2 at 2 PM at the Clark Center for the Performing Arts, 487 Fair Oaks Ave., Arroyo Grande.

(My niece is co-owner of Suspended Motion and I was allowed to photograph during the dress rehearsal.) And thanks to Sylvia for the use of the lens.

I've been wanting to try these motion blur shots on amusement rides for a while. I got these at the Washington County Fair. Not the best rides for these shots. I wanted the ferris wheel, but it never really spun. But it was fun anyway.

I set this shot up for the Assignment 52 group, but got several shots I liked.

The assignment is "stop action" and I tried several different speed settings (listed in the title of the shots). Focus was auto, F5.3 on all of them.

The sun was going in and out of the clouds, so the light levels kept changing.

A 1997 Moulton APB Land Rover in motion, with a Millennium baby rider.

The original launch literature can be seen here:

Land Rover have since allowed their name to used on all manner of low end bicycles (and other products), and by implication lowering the value of the brand.

Note how the camera's flash has highlighted the reflective bands printed on the Schwalbe tyres, they are much more effective than the spoke mounted type of reflector.

SB900 on the left side through white umbrella. 2nd curtain sync. Trying to focus and catch the motion path. It's one of the series. Still learning :)

Is it a Movement of the Body? Is it Browning Motion of the surface molecules? Is it an Agitation of the Soul? Or are these images from the Crossing of the Gap between the Multiverse?

Please STOP it really hurts :"(
