A close-up of a person making pour-over coffee in a kitchen. The stainless steel gooseneck kettle pours hot water over the coffee grounds in a ceramic dripper, placed over a glass carafe on a scale, demonstrating precision in the brewing process.

Soon to leave this beautiful place. My morning routine will change. I can only say I LOVE this place and will be back.

Taken for the Active Assignment Weekly! group. This week's assignment: Morning Routine
Something that should become more of a morning routine for me according to my wife: removing the excess stubbles after shaving...
If you want to see my face go large (now you see my dilemma: These stubbles are EVERYWHERE!)
What it took: Camera on the tripod with a flash trigger triggering two flashes: 430EZ with Flexidome straight into my face (for the reflection in the sink), 580 EX II up into the ceiling for indirect illumination of the whole scene. Boosted the contrast more than healthy but that was my tribute to the dare (I know I could have used the dare much more excessive...)
its been pretty dark in the mornings so been trying out some tripod work
cc welcome please
this is the first upload with my new camera/lens and the first one I've processed in LR4...steep learning curve for me
