After breakfast here they go....First
Dolly makes the move to a good spot....then Bella will follow....same spot....and then to top it all, Duffy blesses it with a sprinkle. Another day begins.
Woke up in new, fresh bed sheets. Opened the bedroom window fully to let fresh air in, as the first rays of sun were wandering over my garden. Birds singing from the trees around. My cat enjoying the warmth of the sun on his place on the terrace. Three questions in the morning routine: • What am I doing today that sparks me joy? • What joy can I bring to someone else today? • What can I do today to make the world a bit better? Inspired by clumsy bird and whole lot of others I'm hoping to keep up the challenge of a photo a day for all of 2009. Happy New Year!
This radio forms part of my morning routine because I need to get up early to take my meds but then have to wait an hour before I can eat my breakfast. Depending on my mood , I either tune in to Classic FM or Mellow Magic for a while before listening to BBC Radio Cymru.

Every morning she crawls out from under the bed and heads for the couch where I usually wrap her up in her blanket.
Usually my mother keeps a portion of her breakfast to be fed to a couple of squirrels and crows in the garden. These squirrels are very cute and they will be waiting for the food at the exact time. For some reason if food is not served they will become restless and come to the exact stone slab where food is usually served and see here and there. On seeing that one day we never allowed it to happen again. My mother will see that they are offered some food daily.
Shot this with Tamron 500mm mirror lens.

The last thing I expected was an EXPLORE on this photo.
I believe in my profile description it was mentioned that my ex husband and I had a sign making business for about 10 years in NH. Whenever I see sign companies installing, making, fixing signs it's of great interest to me because of this.
This day was no exception and I debated bw instead but went with color. (I'll probably post the bw version or others on this shoot)
Our sign making business was based out of Plymouth/Campton, NH. We did everything from painted, carved, sandblasted, vinyl from trucklettering to installing larger signs such as these. However I was younger then and had 3 children while, at the same tme, running this business From soup to nuts lol.
As the kids came it was a bit challenging to afford daycare and meet our deadlines. I recall being 40 feet up on a ladder in the winter ~ 8-9 months pregnant to pay the bills.
For about 4--5 years I was secretary for the New Hampshire Sign Association. This group was more of a tri-state or more group... Sign companies such as Barlo Signs, Franks Signs, Paquette Signs and many more attended these monthly meetings.
This is a very positive thing to belong to these associations. Especially being new to the business. Other sign companies are very friendly and often times work can be subcontracted so that both companies benefit as well as the customer.
My first street shot EXPLORE ... I'm thrilled to have my 36th EXPLORE here on Flickr. (Unless I missed one )
Thanks to Erika... you must have the greatest job on Flickr <3
as the first light of dawn stretches across the bay of palma, the morning ferry from barcelona glides silently into view, its presence a gentle interruption in the tranquil sea. on the left, other ferries rest in the harbor, nestled against a backdrop painted with the fiery hues of sunrise. this scene captures a moment of serene continuity, where the rhythm of daily commutes merges with the timeless beauty of nature. the soft gradient of orange to deep blue above, contrasted against the silhouette of the city, offers a visual feast that speaks both to the beginning of a new day and the enduring pulse of life along the coast.
Soon to leave this beautiful place. My morning routine will change. I can only say I LOVE this place and will be back.
