♫♪Nowhere man♫

"He's a real nowhere man,

Sitting in his Nowhere Land,

Making all his nowhere plans

for nobody.

Doesn't have a point of view,

Knows not where he's going to,

Isn't he a bit like you and me?

Nowhere Man please listen,

You don't know what you're missing,

Nowhere Man,the world is at your command!

He's as blind as he can be,

Just sees what he wants to see,

Nowhere Man can you see me at all?

Nowhere Man, don't worry,

Take your time, don't hurry,

Leave it all till somebody else

lends you a hand!"

My Thoughts: WHY DID THIS HAVE TO BE BLURRY LAJSHSDJG

All Time Low Meet & Greet

November 29, 2008 @ Electric Factory

Rian and Bissy

when watching this modern building the old album title of OMD came to mind....

So yeah! What a day! I took the 40 minute train trip to the beating heart of Northern California, San Francisco.

I had so many choices where I was going to attend No Kings Day, but after the week leading to this my soul was in need of massive replenishment of youthful exuberance & energy that I knew SF would bring me.

I have participated more than a few protest over the last 9 years, but never a march of easily 50 thousand plus people from all ages, all ethnicities & all income brackets.

The march was peaceful with seriously near zero law enforcement presence on 1.8 mile rout of the march.

The creativity of my fellow citizens was off the charts with costumes of relevance and some funny ass signs including some of my personal favorites:

"I Could Shit A Better President"

"We Choose the Bear"

"The Power Of The People Is Greater Than The People In Power"

"It's Not A Debate of Policy, It Is A Question Of Morality"

"You Know It's Bad When This Many Introverts Are Here!"

I took this image with my iPhone in pano setting at the termination of the march at UN Plaza @ SF City Hall.

Fun Fact: On the far left frame, is the San Francisco Civic Auditorium, the song accompanying this image was preformed here and this long haired 23 y/o Kidd from East Oakland was in attendance!

In conclusion, I know yesterday's overwhelming display (estimates range from 5 to 12 million participants across all 50 states 2000 plus locations) of disent & expression of frustration in the direction our country has gone. This will not be rited overnight or even maybe in my life time, but God Damn it lets us all know we are not alone!

NO KINGS!

Peace Out

Kidd

In shadows deep where secrets lie,

Neath neon lights that flicker, die,

A world in black and white unfolds,

Where whispered tales of sin are told.

Detectives brood in midnight haze,

Through smoky streets, lost in the maze.

Rain-soaked alleys, danger's breath,

A cityscape where love meets death,

Morality, a twisted line,

In film noir's haunting, stark design.

The story of the Ten Reincarnations of the Buddha has been well-known among Thai people since the Ayutthaya period. It tells the story of the last ten lives of the Bodhisattva, the Buddha to-be before he attained enlightenment and became the venerable Buddha in the next rebirth. Sala of Ten Reincarnations at Ancient City, located across a stream, is an example of ancient Thai buildings of which the value lies not only within their aesthetic structure but also their function as a religious school for the community.

By using the painting as a medium, the muralist teaches morality to the people through the vivid and informative pictures. The viewers will normally find the murals at important public centers such as the ubosot and wihan, the sermon hall. The public pavilion and the summer house and Reincarnations at Muang Boran, located across a stream, is an example of ancient Thai buildings of which the value lies not only within their aesthetic structure but also their function as a religious school for the community.

Batumi (Georgian: ბათუმი) is a seaside city on the Black Sea coast and capital of Adjara, an autonomous republic in southwest Georgia. Batumi, with its large port and commercial center, is also the last stop of the Transcaucasian Railway and the Baku oil pipeline. It is situated some 20 km (12 mi) from the Turkish border, in a subtropical zone, rich in agricultural produce such as citrus fruit and tea. The city's climate is heavily influenced by the onshore flow from the Black Sea and is subject to the orographic effect of the nearby hills and mountains, resulting in significant rainfall throughout most of the year, making Batumi the wettest city in both Georgia and the entire Caucasus Region.

War

What life has taught me

I would like to share with

Those who want to learn...

Until the philosophy which hold one race

Superior and another inferior

Is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned

Everywhere is war, me say war

That until there are no longer first class

And second class citizens of any nation

Until the colour of a man's skin

Is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes

Me say war

That until the basic human rights are equally

Guaranteed to all, without regard to race

Dis a war

That until that day

The dream of lasting peace, world citizenship

Rule of international morality

Will remain in but a fleeting illusion

To be persued, but never attained

Now everywhere is war, war

And until the ignoble and unhappy regimes

that hold our brothers in Angola, in Mozambique,

South Africa sub-human bondage

Have been toppled, utterly destroyed

Well, everywhere is war, me say war

War in the east, war in the west

War up north, war down south

War, war, rumours of war

And until that day, the African continent

Will not know peace, we Africans will fight

We find it necessary and we know we shall win

As we are confident in the victory

Of good over evil, good over evil, good over evil

Good over evil, good over evil, good over evil

Flickr - no place for politics, most likely is the case. But this is not to do with politics, this is to do with international morality.

Or in this case, immorality on a belief-beggaring scale.

.

The immorality of using overwhelming military capability to steal a neighbour's country is so far off the charts in the stakes of evil behaviour that it has disgusted the world - except, it seems - for China.

Whose own internal morality seems to have far more to do with saving the CCP's face than anything else.

Clearly I'm only one powerless pensioner in Scotand who can do little except make futile gestures such as show this simple flag as a speck of moral support for the marvellously gutsy and strong people of Ukraine who are currently fighting with all they can use to fend off a massive bully based in Moscow.

Which latter has stupidly shown itself to be no better than the axis-aggressors who tore the world apart twice in the previous century.

In 1941, Russia was on the receiving end of Germany's (operation Barbarossa) uncontrolled lust for expansionism.

Yet here we are, regardless of history's lessons.

Insanely, it's happening again, with a different bully whose roots can be traced back to the old ways of Stalinism's worst aspects. And the Western world looks on and - equivocates.

Establishment of the cemetery (1848):

Before the construction of the Camperdown Cemetery, there were general cemeteries where Anglicans would have to share the space with both other Christian and pagan denominations. This was not satisfactory to the strong Anglican community in the colony, which sought to retain its sectarian social exclusivity beyond the grave. The Anglican Camperdown Cemetery was created on the 12th of July 1848. It opened in 1849.

Operation of the cemetery (1848 - 1866):

As a major cemetery for the dominant religion in Sydney, the range of interments was broad. In the period of its operation more than sixteen thousand burials were placed in the cemetery, making it a significant nineteenth century urban cemetery by any standards.

In 1850, Mogo, a Koori (Aboriginal New South Wales man) from Towel Creek on the Upper Macleay Valley was buried in what became known as 'Cooee Corner' of the cemetery (on the Lennox Street side). His grave was originally decorated with shells taken from an Aboriginal midden in Pittwater. Some time after the cemetery closed in 1942 this and adjacent areas were cleared, headstones moved within the perimeter of the newley-erected stone wall, where they remain today. It is not known what became of Mogo's remains but his sandstone headstone, the inscription blurred by weathering, lies on the ground next to an obelisk, erected in tribute to Aboriginal people buried in the cemetery in 1944 by the Rangers' League of New South Wales in memory of Mogo Perry (d.1849, aged 26) and two other Kooris buried in the cemetery - Wandelina Caborigirel (d. 1860, aged 18) and Tommy (d. aged 11). The inscription says the obelisk was erected 'Also as a tribute to the whole of the Aboriginal race'.

It is now a great deal more about the operation of this cemetery than other comparable establishments because of the Select Committee of the New South Wales Legislative Council which held hearings in 1865 - 1866 as a result of complaints about health and morality issues. The Select Committee evidence concentrates mainly on the pauper burials, suggesting that multiple interments were common.

Closure of the cemetery (1867 - 1948):

Health and hygienic problems were exacerbated as the population of Newtown and Camperdown increased dramatically from the late 1840s onwards, leading to the closure of the cemetery by the Newtown Municipal Council. On the 2nd of September 1867 the Camperdown and Randwick Cemetery Act was assented. From the 1st of January 1868 all burials in the cemetery would cease, apart from those who had a compelling reason.

In 1948 the Camperdown Cemetery Act divided the land into a 12 acre that was to become a public park, with the remaining 4 acres to form the historic core of the cemetery, along with the sexton's cottage and Saint Stephens Church. The wall surrounding the new cemetery core was completed in 1951, and headstones removed and installed inside the new compound.

The Current Camperdown Cemetery:

The Camperdown Cemetery was established in 1848 on about 13 acres of the 240 acres granted to Governor Bligh, known as the Camperdown Estate. This was the first privately-owned and operated Anglican cemetery in Sydney. It was the main cemetery for Sydney from 1849 to 1867. During this time it received over 15,000 interments and was the subjct of a state government select committee inquiry. This inquiry was convened to address the mismanagement of a number of cemeteries within Sydney and it found that the accusations directed at the Camperdown Cemetery were founded. Sale of plots was terminated in 1867 and it closed in 1868 but a trickle of burials continued until the 1940s (Brettell, 2015 says 1920s, these being within family and pre-purchased plots and crypts).

Following its closure the cemetery fell into disrepair. It was reduced in size in the 1950s when Camperdown Memorial Rest Park was established, comprising two distinct sections that now comprise the area - the Saint Stephens Church and graveyard (within a six foot high sandstone wall) and the Camperdown Memorial Rest Park (without the wall), treated as broadly grassed open space with pockets of tree planting, and, directly south of the graveyard wall, a children's play ground area. The Church and graveyard have been managed since the 1970s by the Camperdown Cemetery Trust and the Camperdown Memorial Rest Park is managed by Marrickville Council.

In 2021 $20,000 grant funding will support restoration of headstones in Camperdown Cemetery.

"Better poor on Aargau than rich anywhere else."

Nothing more than a slogan to entice visitors. There was more money on Aargau than almost anywhere in the galaxy, and it did not make it into the hands of the poor.

The fall of the Empire freed many planets from tyranny, but the civilized worlds suffered the most. Instability leads to fear, fear leads to hoarding, hoarding leads to desperation, and then there is violence, on both sides.

Any hint of unrest in the undercity, and the armed guards of the city elite pulled people from their homes. Anything to quell the rumors, to stabilize the markets. The weakest in the undercity began to disappear, and their value to the planet at large dwindled into nothing.

You were safer on Aargau walking around in Stormtrooper armor than hand-me-downs. The local remnant capitalized on this.

Late night visits to the houses still populated, brute squads culling the lower class for conscripts. Nobody would miss them.

I felt the same about the stormtroopers themselves.

I have become known by the denizens of the undercity as the Shagha, Aargauese for "vengeful spirit". At the very least, they understood what I was doing.

I move quickly and quietly, my years killing for Black Sun finally benefitting someone besides the Princes.

A slain trooper here, a headless guard there, and a legend begins to grow. I pray it gives the people hope. I cannot truly better their lot, but I can protect them until the wind changes, I can keep them in their homes and away from the brutality of war.

There is irony in my bringing brutality to their streets, instead. Only when it is useful.

I know little of morality and even less of good. My methods are not perfect; I am a kind of monster. I have long known this. But there are times in the past where it has been more true, and faced with the current situation, I cannot stand by. This is all I know to do. Perhaps I can yet earn some measure of peace.

Though it's not one of Tokyo's tallest buildings, the Shinjuku NS building keeps pace by incorporating several outstanding features. The easiest to see is the exterior elevator shaft which is covered in glass, allowing visitors to see out, and the world to see in. The building's position allows it to appear many different colors as it catches the sun at different angles through the day. Sunlight is an important part of this building, as is evidenced by its massive 30-story atrium which runs through the core of the building. It's like the building was made of four skyscraper slabs placed next to each other and covered with a huge glass space frame of a roof. The large interior space allows natural light to filter down to even the lower offices for a couple of hours a day. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can take a stroll across the 29th floor skybridge which spans the atrium.

The cheetah /ˈtʃiːtə/ (Acinonyx jubatus) is a large cat of the subfamily Felinae that occurs in Southern, North and East Africa, and a few localities in Iran. The species is IUCN Red Listed as vulnerable, as it suffered a substantial decline in its historic range in the 20th century due to habitat loss, poaching, illegal pet trade, and conflict with humans. By 2016, the global cheetah population has been estimated at approximately 7,100 individuals in the wild. Several African countries have taken steps to improve cheetah conservation measures. It is the fastest land animal.

Cheetahs are active mainly during the day, with hunting their major activity. Adult males are sociable despite their territoriality, forming groups called coalitions. Females are not territorial; they may be solitary or live with their offspring in home ranges. Carnivores, cheetah mainly prey upon antelopes and gazelles. They will stalk their prey to within 100–300 m (330–980 ft), charge towards it and kill it by tripping it during the chase and biting its throat to suffocate it to death. Cheetahs can reach speeds of 112 km/h (70 mph) in short bursts, but this is disputed by more recent measurements. The average speed of cheetahs is about 64 km/h (40 mph). Cheetahs are induced ovulators, breeding throughout the year. Gestation is nearly three months long, resulting in a litter of typically three to five cubs (the number can vary from one to eight). Weaning occurs at six months; siblings tend to stay together for some time. Cheetah cubs face higher mortality than most other mammals, especially in the Serengeti region. Cheetahs inhabit a variety of habitats – dry forests, scrub forests and savannahs. -Wikipedia

The world has been thrown into chaos and the eyes of the young are watching with anxious anticipation for guidance. What will we hand them? What messages do we send them? What kind of world do we leave them with when we bestow the dubious honor of leadership to them? I would suggest that we spend more time searching our morality and ethics than our pocket books and wallets. #Lions

I don't know what's worse, your grief or your antiquated sense of morality, Bruce, I forgive you for not saving me. But why? Why on God's earth...is he still alive!

Gotta give the boy points. He came all the way from the dead to make this shindig happen. So who's got a camera? Ooh! Ooh! Get one of me and the kid first. Then you and me, then the three of us. And then the one with the crowbar!

Translation of the sticker:

In the Corona crisis, you want to save lives at any cost and sacrifice freedom.

In the Ukraine war, you want to save freedom at any cost and sacrifice lives.

In both crises, it is considered moral behavior to deny morality to those who think differently.

As Cpt. Jetsam and Major Sky hasten after Princess Durus, and Koe leads Doc and the other scientists to an area unaffected by the scattering field that blocks the vee, in his throne room, King Durus is alerted to the escape of the prisoners.

KD: No! They cannot escape me! Guards, kill them all on sight!

Turgis Infigo: (briefly touches KD's arm) Your Majesty, no! They're no threat to you!

KD: (aims the ripper at TI, eyes glowing red) You're a blight! A plague on this world! All of you must die!

TI: You're not King Durus.

At that moment, PBD, CDJ, MSS and Cus run into the throne room.

PBD: Father?

KD: Traitors! I am surrounded by traitors! You will all die! (he shoots wildly at them all, missing, as he makes his way to the throne, touching a button)

PBD: He's activated the relocator! (as she warns them all, a giant hand snatches from the ceiling, reaching for TI, who dives out of the way)

The hand grabs randomly at the people in the room, who rush for various points of shelter while firing their weapons at the hand. Meanwhile, red-eyed King Durus laughs maniacally from his throne -- until the hand reaches for him.

KD: No! I am in control, here! Not me! Not me!

Cus: My king!

Cus dashes across the throne room, knocking KD out of the way, and is engulfed by the hand, his helmet is knocked off, and he cries out as the hand rises swiftly to the high ceiling with him, PBD screams in horror as the hand vanishes, but Cus is crushed against the ceiling, falling back to the floor, dead.

KD: (for a moment, the red mist vanishes from his eyes) No! Custos!

MSS: (leaps from her place of concealment, firing at KD, who collapses)

PBD: Father!

CDJ: (dashes to PBD, grabbing her arm) He's just asleep! Can you turn that damned thing off?

PBD: Yes!

As PBD runs toward the throne, the diabolical hand reappears, grasping toward her, both CDJ and MSS firing ineffectively at it, but just as it's about to snatch her, KG appears from a side passage, tackling her to the far side of the throne. The hand changes direction, grabbing toward CDJ, but just as it's about to close on her, PBD jumps up and hits the activation button on the throne -- and the diabolical hand vanishes. Koe and PBD briefly embrace before she runs to her fallen father, and KG goes to to stand over the broken body of Cus.

KG: I never imagined the King would actually kill one of his defenders.

TI: He didn't. (glances at MSS)

MSS: (nods) I see.

CDJ: Well, the rest of us don't! Stop doing that multi-mind thing, and tell us single brains what's going on!

TI: When I touched him, and saw his eyes become the color of the mist threatening their planet, I reached out to it with our minds, and we saw what it truly was.

MSS: It's a creature, Pips. (to CDJ) The red mist is a living entity. It travels through solar systems devouring any lifeforms it discovers.

TI: It was trying to force us to give it Plicare, using King Durus as a host, so that it could travel freely from planet to planet, instantly, glutting itself on all life. It has no morality or conscience.

CDJ: How do we stop a thing like that?

MSS: It's alive, Pips. It lives to feed, it doesn't care about anything other than itself. But living things can be killed. (looks at TI solemnly) I saw that, too.

CDJ: (pleased and determined) Finally, something I understand. Let's kill it.
