To love our neighbor as ourselves is such a truth for regulating human society, that by that alone one might determine all the cases in social morality. - John Locke

The perfect song then came to mind, this song written in 1963 by Bob Dylan. The song tells the story of about the assassination of civil rights activist Medgar Evers in Jackson, Mississippi, on June 12, 1963
The parallels from 1963 Mississippi to 2026 Minnesota are undeniable.

🎶[Only A Pawn In Their Game (Bob Dylan Mississippi 1963)] 🎶
A bullet from the back of a bush
Took Medgar Evers' blood
A finger fired the trigger to his name
A handle hid out in the dark
A hand set the spark
Two eyes took the aim
Behind a man's brain
But he can't be blamed
He's only a pawn in their game
A South politician preaches to the poor white man
"You got more than the blacks, don't complain
You're better than them, you been born with white skin, " they explain
And the Negro's name
Is used, it is plain
For the politician's gain
As he rises to fame
And the poor white remains
On the caboose of the train
But it ain't him to blame
He's only a pawn in their game
The deputy sheriffs, the soldiers, the governors get paid
And the marshals and cops get the same
But the poor white man's used in the hands of them all like a tool
He's taught in his school
From the start by the rule
That the laws are with him
To protect his white skin
To keep up his hate
So he never thinks straight
'Bout the shape that he's in
But it ain't him to blame
He's only a pawn in their game
From the poverty shacks, he looks from the cracks to the tracks
And the hoofbeats pound in his brain
And he's taught how to walk in a pack
Shoot in the back
With his fist in a clinch
To hang and to lynch
To hide 'neath the hood
To kill with no pain
Like a dog on a chain
He ain't got no name
But it ain't him to blame
He's only a pawn in their game
Today, Medgar Evers was buried from the bullet he caught
They lowered him down as a king
But when the shadowy sun sets on the one
That fired the gun
He'll see by his grave
On the stone that remains
Carved next to his name
His epitaph plain
Only a pawn in their game
- Bob Dylan

A monk helps a woman preform penance. This was taken at Angkor Wat in Cambodia, on a sweltering day, so being doused with water would not be the worst thing in the world. Angkor is, perhaps, the most extraordinary ancient site in all of Asia (there are more pictures of it to come), but it is also overwhelmed by tourists. We had just come from the grandest of the temples, Angkor Wat itself, and had bought fresh green coconuts to get re-hydrated. Behind the souvenir and snack stalls was this small local temple, where village life was going on unaffected by, and unknown to, the millions of foreigners all around it.
I like this image because of the story implicit in it. There is a power and gender and cultural dynamic at play that is challenging to the viewer. I like the water splashing off the steps, and I find intriguing the woman standing in the shadows. To me she personifies judgement, the need to maintain the status quo by making sure her own rigid morality is maintained.

Remember to use your gut, and your instincts in todays world. News is no longer absence of malice, information is used as a tool to control. People don't consider morality as a given, nor truth as a must.
"Dear one, don't you like
your darling ? Kindly speak
Think of our yesterdays,
Eskimo kisses and impish plays
Our moments together
Was truely sweet all through
O ! I recall those days of joy
Why you stay aloof, growing shy ?
Hey ! Why is this change
In your looks, you seem to range,
All your thoughts in a strange,
I think, mysterious trench."
"No mystery dude ! my mind
is not of an enigmatic kind
You have known me well enough
from long past, a poor stuff.
Leave me now, don't try to capture
With your flirty words anymore
As you did with me before
In your usual ways of cajolery.
Though weak and fragile
As you men describe all agile,
Smart and trustworthy female,
No more wish I to partake in your sail.
I know men, young and old
Are all alike, of one mould;
Equally conceited and bold
In their ways to gain and hold.
To lure poor women
With their fake affection
And fabulous description
of their beauty, a subversion.
Above all, man's judgement
Propaganda and comment
About women as fragile and weak
As born dependent and meek.
Who can stand their orgy
And tread that path craggy
As he transcends often and on
Barriers of morality known
O! insidiousness of man !
His beastly pursuits inhuman
Shown in his gestures, lovely
Promises are all pretentions only
No woman of honor and sanity
Not even the gullible one
Would dare to fall in love
With the so called man even for fun."
Lend an ear dear fellow souls
Mere mortal bodies with myriad goals
The senses portray divergent views
As perceptions screened on the mind
Love is often mistaken,
for love of objects the body need,
need of subjects for the mind to feed,
the 'feed' to satiate your greed.
Infatuations, fleeting passions
out of lustful fascinations
Distressing crave to yearn
what that you wish to own
Make one seek selfish means
Heedless of other's pains
Treachery with a smile
ditch with utter spite
Love is not to blame
fuel is not the flame
In the raving fire
As in every pyre
Burns the sandal logs
along with the corpse

Leonard Cohen's song "You Want It Darker" explores themes of faith, love, death, and life, and the speaker's struggle with the morality of a God who permits suffering. The song's lyrics include references to the Holocaust, the Crucifixion of Christ, and the speaker's own mortality.
The song is about Cohen’s struggles and eventual reconciliation with faith as he faces death. In the song, Cohen doesn’t really doubt that God exists. Rather, he struggles with doubt that God is good. The backdrop is that the song was written and recorded in the last years of his life, when Cohen was becoming increasingly ill with leukaemia and coming to terms with his impending death.

An interesting concept - I never rely thought that God wasn't good. Generally God and the Devil are depicted as separate entities - maybe they are one and the same.
Have you ever been so busy that the periphery has to take a backseat? Oh, yeah! Yet, there are motivators that have us going after those things that seem just beyond reach. With just such an influence, I left my house in Durham at 9pm after a hectic day. Arriving at an open spot across from the Hawksbill Mountain trailhead some 3 hours later, I covered up and attempted a few hours of sleep. My plan is to waken by 4:30, but at 4:15, I’m fired up, geared up, and headed up the trail, motivated by expectations of beauty. I would not be disappointed.
Beauty, it has always seemed to me, is one of the great arguments for the existence of God. If we are all only to engage in a pitiless struggle to ensure our DNA survives (as Richard Dawkins suggests), why does beauty matter so much to so many of us?
It was the beauty contained in the Gospel (“good news”) that moved me so profoundly that I became a Christian… I was baptized 50 years ago today, Easter Sunday.
With the help of C.S. Lewis and Josh McDowell, both of whom I could relate to, as well as the Bible, I was awestruck. To summarize: God had an apparently insoluble conundrum between his justice and his love. He cannot turn a blind eye to human rebellion and failure without compromising his perfect justice. He had gone before His chosen people evidenced as a pillar of cloud by day and of light by night, directing their steps through the wilderness. Yet, while Moses was gone 40 days and nights to receive the Ten Commandments, the children of Israel fell into abject debauchery. We're not like that, are we? A good look around now shows that little has changed of the human condition over these thousands of years. A term now identifies that condition, “HPtFTU” or “the human propensity to foul things up.” For all that, God’s perfect love means he cannot remain alienated from those he has created and loves.
How could one resolve such a conflict without compromising one of these twin absolutes? By human logic, it is impossible! But, as Jesus taught his disciples, our logic is not the last word. The Gospel of Matthew records that Jesus told his disciples, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” The astonished disciples ask, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus replies: “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
God’s solution is not to sacrifice his perfect standards of either morality or love, but to maintain both by sacrificing himself. That is the heart of what Christians commemorate at Easter: that God himself intervened in human history, humiliating himself by taking the form of a helpless infant, living a life in perfect conformity with his moral law, and dying an excruciating and shameful death on the Cross.
I know that some consider this a vile doctrine, that what God allows to happen to Jesus makes him a moral monster. They fail to grasp the importance of the understanding that Jesus was fully human and fully divine. It is in that way that God himself pays the price for restoring humanity.
Or, as the Apostle John more poetically puts it: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
I love chasing beauty with the camera as much as circumstances allow. But I’ve found that the greatest beauty is moral beauty – compassion, generosity, self-sacrifice – and the most beautiful expression of it that I have found or could conceive of is what Christians celebrate at Easter in the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Christ.
One of the most beautiful and inspirational verses in all of God's word I’ve found is John 20:16 where you begin to realize the restraints to Jesus’ “divine capacity” were off in a most wonderful way… Jesus called a very bereaved Mary by her name. That's literally all there is to the verse... Jesus said, “Mary.” She thought He was the gardener, and she wasn't far off in that assessment. He did create it. That's what makes this verse so powerful; Jesus is the Word that was there from the beginning (John 1:1). He had just proved Himself through the resurrection. He was victorious over death and sin… in that moment, there was nothing in Nature over which He didn't prevail. The very Universe would snap at His command, yet He cared enough for Mary, not even a mere speck in that Universe, to reach out to her with heartfelt compassion. She had gone in search of Him, but He found her. In this, Jesus set a precedent that differentiates Christianity from all other religions… because He cares for us all no less than He did Mary. That’s why He went to the cross! God wants us to know Him. God not only allows, but also encourages such a relationship. That’s because Christianity in its truest sense isn’t a religion; it’s a relationship, plain and simple… and it's a relationship that's available to us all.
Thank God, Jesus is risen… He is risen indeed!

Your choices, your accountability, your responsibilities, are all in your own hands. You never have to blame someone for what they do to you. YOU have the power, its in your hands, its your choice.
Do not wait for your life to fall apart to understand the power of choosing a different path. Mel Robbins
I have shared with so many people the "Let them" Theory by Mel Robbins. Her message is unapologetic, clear, and freeing. We can not control what others believe, say, or even think. Should they decide you are not a good person, or assign you with their gossip, hate.. that is NOT on you.
Let them.
Be strong in who you are and your personal morality. Most folks should sincerely take their own inventory of action and life before judging others.
One of Mel Robbins' series. Please enjoy! ♥
“Morality cannot be legislated, but behavior can be regulated. Judicial decrees may not change the heart, but they can restrain the heartless.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.
“I hate pride and arrogance!” (Pr. 8:13). God abhors those people worst who adore themselves most. Pride is not a Bethel – that is, a house where God dwells; but a Babel – that is, a stinking dungeon in which Satan abides. Pride is not only a most hateful evil – but it is a radical evil. As all other lusts are found lodging in it – so they are found springing from it. Pride is a foul leprosy, in the face of morality; and a hurtful worm, gnawing at the root of humility. Pride is a cancer within, and a spreading plague without! - William Secker

I've build this interlude especially for a LUG venue in about 1,5 months.
From what you see 95% is new. I only reused the fountain, the gondolas and the street lighting from my previous Venice moc. The rest is new and build from the ground up.
Even the water had to be rebuild because it fell apart when i broke down venice part 1 in 23'
I hope you enjoy what you see, and if you have any technique breakdown requests. Let me know

🎶[Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again (Bob Dylan)] 🎶
🎶[Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again (Grateful Dead Live!)] 🎶
Well, the ragman draws circles, up and down the block
I'd ask him what's the matter, but I know that he don't talk
And the ladies treat me kindly, and they furnish me with tape
But deep inside my heart, I, I know I can't escape
Oh, mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again
Shakespeare, he's in the alley
With his pointed shoes and bell
Speaking with some French girl, who says she knows me well
And me, I'd send a message, to find out if she's talked
But the post office has been stolen, and the mailbox is locked
But oh, mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again
Now, Mona, she tried to warn me, stay away from the railroad line
She says all the railroad men
Drink up your blood like wine
And I said, "Oh, I didn't know that"
But then again there's only one I've met
He just smoked my eyelids, and he punched my cigarette
Whoa, mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again
Grandpa died last week, and they buried him in the rocks
Everyone still talks about how badly they are shocked
But me, I expected it to happen, I knew he'd lost control
When he built a fire on Main Street, and he shot it full of holes
Oh, mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again
Now the Senator, he came down here, showing everyone his gun
Handing out free tickets to the wedding of his son
And me, I nearly got busted, and wouldn't it be my luck
To get caught without a ticket and be discovered beneath a truck
Oh, mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again
Now the preacher looks so baffled
When I asked him why he dressed
With twenty pounds of headlines stapled to his chest
And he cursed me when I proved it to him
Then I said, "You see, not even you can hide
You see, you're just like me, and I hope you're satisfied"
Oh, mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again
Now the rainman gave me two cures, then he said jump right in
The first was Texas medicine, the second was just railroad gin
And like a fool I mixed them, and it strangled up my mind
Now people just get uglier, and I've got no sense of time
Oh, mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again
Now, when Ruthie says come see her in her honky-tonk lagoon
Where I can watch her waltz for free, 'neath her Panamanian moon
And I said, "Ah, come on now, you know about my debutante
And she says, "Your debutante knows just what you need
But I know what you want"
Oh, mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again
Now the bricks, they lay on Grand Street where the neon madmen climb
They all fall there so perfectly, it all seems so well timed
And here I sit so patiently, waiting to find out what price
You have to pay to get out of
Going through all of these things twice
Oh, mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again
Oh, mama, can this really be the end

My daughter asked me after hearing of the sad events caused by terrorism in Beirut and Paris the last 2 days: “why do humans terrorize other humans?” Questions like this always get us into a journey of search for the truth, for reason, for sanity and for an explanation that can offer settlement, even if it was short-lived.
We are given a choice, the moment we were born to be as good or as bad as we want to be. We battle with our own morality throughout our lives here on this planet. We seek out desperately that bit of cool blue logic to give us strength to choose wisely.
I posted several ‘pray for Paris’ tributes on social media today and I was caught by one comment from someone saying that “if prayer helped, then the world would already be a better place”. But do we just give up hope in the face of an uncertain future? What kind of world are our children inheriting?

Ideally a book would have no order to it, and the reader would have to discover his own.
If man could be crossed with the cat, it would improve man but deteriorate the cat.
If you hold a cat by the tail you learn things you cannot learn any other way.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

The Big Buddha is not just a majestic statue, but an entire religious-architectural ensemble...
The bronze Bodhistav figures symbolize the main qualities of Buddhism: patience, diligence, mercy, morality, goodness and wisdom.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.
MLK.
Kids are still separated from the parents. This country is having a moment of dumpster fire morality. Not just the kids but everything. And it's been a long moment.
From Khalil Gibran's THE PROPHET
And an old priest said, "Speak to us of Religion."
And he said:
Have I spoken this day of aught else?
Is not religion all deeds and all reflection,
And that which is neither deed nor reflection, but a wonder and a surprise ever springing in the soul, even while the hands hew the stone or tend the loom?
Who can separate his faith from his actions, or his belief from his occupations?
Who can spread his hours before him, saying, "This for God and this for myself; This for my soul, and this other for my body?"
All your hours are wings that beat through space from self to self.
He who wears his morality but as his best garment were better naked.
The wind and the sun will tear no holes in his skin.
And he who defines his conduct by ethics imprisons his song-bird in a cage.
The freest song comes not through bars and wires.
And he to whom worshipping is a window, to open but also to shut, has not yet visited the house of his soul whose windows are from dawn to dawn.
Your daily life is your temple and your religion.
Whenever you enter into it take with you your all.
Take the plough and the forge and the mallet and the lute,
The things you have fashioned in necessity or for delight.
For in revery you cannot rise above your achievements nor fall lower than your failures.
And take with you all men:
For in adoration you cannot fly higher than their hopes nor humble yourself lower than their despair.
And if you would know God be not therefore a solver of riddles.
Rather look about you and you shall see Him playing with your children.
And look into space; you shall see Him walking in the cloud, outstretching His arms in the lightning and descending in rain.
You shall see Him smiling in flowers, then rising and waving His hands in trees.
Stupa and prayer flags. Kathmandu, Nepal
......................................................................
The Tibetan word is Chorten, which means "the basis of offering".
Stupa is a symbol of enlightened mind, (the awakened mind, universal divinity) and the path to its realisation.
If you had to use just two words, the best definition I have seen is "Spiritual Monument"
The stupa represents the Buddha's body, his speech and his mind, but most especially his mind and every part shows the path to Enlightenment

Torn this morning between going out to photograph and taking the time to rest. It has been a busy year with little time for the latter. I realize that I have so many photos that I have never posted for any number of reasons, so I will post some of them this morning.
Winter along the shoreline is, arguably, the most peaceful. When not disturbed by hunters, fisherman, and photographers, the native wildlife has time to do exactly what I am doing today. These dunlin have traveled great distances from their Arctic breeding ground and rest along the shores. The prevailing wind orients all the birds in one direction. The sea, too, seems at rest. It is a moment of conciliation, harmony, and one for reflection. It is a moment of entropy in a world of confusion where understanding and interpretation is as plain as black and white.
For many a soul, the time spent alone, in peace with nature, is a time for reflection. It is a time when a restless heart can gain some clarity and perspective. The world is filled with those who would sacrifice morality for power and wealth, and many will do so with righteous indignation. They live at the center of a centripetal world from which their own gravity will not allow them to escape. They are the lost souls. We can only truly understand life when we free ourselves of our prejudicial nature, shed our personal desires, and try to learn its native language. The unwritten doctrine of nature’s creed is waiting in the wild. #Dunlin

Anti-Racism activists pass through Piccadilly Circus, London, during Saturday's March Against Racism. More photos to follow soon.
The rally was organised to mark UN Anti-Racism Day and came at a moment when ethnic minorities feel under severe assault on multiple fronts. Covid 19 and the recent surge in the cost of living have both had a disproportionate and devastating impact on black and other minority communities, while the Nationality and Borders Bill will criminalize asylum seekers and gives the government the power to strip the citizenship away from as many as six million people.
Meanwhile the Ukraine war is revealing Britain's double standards on refugees. Newspapers that were calling for the navy to be deployed to repel small boats of desperate victims of conflict and famine in Yemen, Syria and Afghanistan, are now declaring how we can be proud of our efforts to house those fleeing Ukraine. Some activists on Saturday's march carried placards reminding us that we should welcome refugees from ALL wars.
Although it is good to see Ukrainian refugees being housed in Britain, elementary morality would suggest that our responsibility to those fleeing Yemen and Afghanistan is even greater, as it is British and US aircraft and bombs that are targeting hospitals, markets and schools in Yemen, while Western sanctions are inflicting severe shortages of essentials and near famine conditions on millions in Afghanistan.

New Jersey residents welcomed Prohibition at first. Many residents thought it would reduce crime, improve health, increase safety and raise public morality. But New Jersey quickly became a hotbed for illegal alcohol or moonshine. The promised benefits of Prohibition never occurred. It actually created more problems than problems being solved. Crime organizations were quick to jump in to be a part of the profits. They were the go-to people if you needed something more "specific".
At long last, here it is! It came to my attention from a few friends that I never posted this on here. Sorry about that! Enjoy!

Introduction
God’s disposition is majestic and wrathful.
He’s not a lamb to be slaughtered by anyone.
He is not a puppet, played by anyone as they like.
Nor is He air, ordered around by people.
If you really believe in God
you should have a heart that fears God.
You should know that God’s essence is something that cannot be offended.
Offense may be caused by a word or thought,
a doctrine or theory, or some vile activity.
It may be caused by some mild behavior which is acceptable by morality.
But once you offend God, you have lost your chance to be saved,
and your end days will come soon.
This is something fearful indeed.
If you don’t know God can’t be offended,
you may not fear Him, but will offend Him always.
You cannot fear God if you don’t know how,
nor follow His path to fear God and shun evil.
Once you become aware in your heart and recognize that God is inviolable,
then you will know exactly what it means to fear God and shun evil.
Once you become aware in your heart and recognize that God is inviolable,
then you will know exactly what it means to fear God and shun evil.
You should know that God’s essence
is something that cannot be offended, cannot be offended.
Offense may be caused by a word or thought,
a doctrine or theory, or some vile activity.
If you really believe in God’s existence,
you should have a heart that fears God.

Excerpt from uofguelph.ca:
Known for its strong sense of community, this impressive ivy-covered building was officially opened in 1921 as a men's residence. Mills Hall now houses female and male students living in single, double, and triple rooms.
For 25 years, beginning in 1879, James Mills (1840-1924) directed the Ontario Agricultural College as Principal and, during that time, it changed in both stature and appearance. Mills launched the innovative Farmers' Institutes of Ontario in 1885 as an experiment in adult extension education and also successfully initiated the dairy short course in 1893. It was also Mills that negotiated degree-granting status with the University of Toronto in 1888. He won the College's first private-sector support for the construction of Massey Hall.
Mills was always known for setting high standards of conduct and morality for the young farmers who came to OAC and it is fitting that the former men's residence was named for him. Currently Mills Hall houses both young women and men.

~Da Nativity~
A Sheepish Tale of Three Christmases
A Play By: Tania Kiko
oK oK I know I'm a little irrelevant with some of matters of the season.
But never let it be said that I don't love me some "Buddy Christ"!
When I asked my friend and creator of iconic sim and adult playground The Continental sim, if I could help promote the upcoming ~Da Nativity~ she happily agreed to give me access to the venue!
I was given the outline from The Lady Boss Thecla :
"Come witness French Post-Modern theatre gone gonzo biblical. There will be pathos, there will be
fragmented, ironic, subversive, pluralistic, and experimental absurdities. And of course there will be sheep."
I thought....ooooH mY, "SHEEP!" so brought my flock to the party!
As far as my title and song, my 1st thought went right to Zappa and the iconic album "Sheik Yerbouti" And as you guys know I tend to dance in land the tangent weirdness universe!
I thought "I Have Been In You" might be a little over the line of tasteful promotion and I was going to plan B it with "Jesus Christ Superstar". Upon discussion with "The Boss" she insisted I roll with Zappa! It's nice to be apart of the cool Kidds!
So for those of you into a little "Out There" holiday flair this might just be the ticket for you! I hope I can make it myself!
I know I have said this before, but it warrants repeating,
I LOVE SHOOTING ON THE CONTINENTAL!
Thank you Thecla for being the hostess with the mostest!
Peace...I mean BaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaH!

I have been in you, baby
And you

I thought that we would never
Return from forever
Return from forever

You
Have been in me
And understandably
I have been in 'n'outayou
An' everywhere
You want me to
Yes, you know it's true;
And while
I was insideI
I mighta been
Undignified
And that is maybe
Why you cried
I don't know
Maybe so,
But what's the difference now?
I have been in you, baby
You have been in me
Aw' little girl, there ain't no time
To wash yer stinky hand
Go 'head 'n' roll over
I'm goin' in you again

The Khor Virap - Խոր Վիրապ, meaning deep pit or "deep well" is an Armenian Apostolic Church monastery located in the Ararat plain in Armenia, near the border with Turkey, about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) south of Artashat, Ararat Province. The monastery was host to a theological seminary and was the residence of Armenian Catholicos.
If there is a single place/shot I have seen and wanted to see with my own eyes in Armenia, it must be the Khor Virap Monastery standing in front of biblical Mt. Ararat. To get this shot I had to visit this place 3 times and even the 3rd time I had to wait for some time to get this wonderful light. Travel photography is fun, however not always rewarding with the best light the first time you visit the location, however when you have the luxury of time and have a chance to come back thanks to proper planning, you might be rewarded with shot like this (Although Mt. Ararat is still partly hiding behind those clouds).

Noravank - Նորավանք - meaning "New Monastery" s a 13th century Armenian Apostolic Church monastery, located 122 km from Yerevan in a narrow gorge made by the Amaghu river, nearby the city of Yeghegnadzor, Armenia. The gorge is known for its tall, sheer, brick-red cliffs, directly across from the monastery. The monastery is best known for its two-storey S. Astvatsatsin church, which grants access to the second floor by way of narrow stones jutting out from the face of building. The monastery is sometimes called Amaghu-Noravank, Amaghu being the name of a small recently destroyed village above the canyon, in order to distinguish it from Bgheno-Noravank, near Goris.
Yet one more place that firstly welcomed me with lot and lot of rain. I waited there for 2 hours to see if the rain stop, but it didnt. I decided that this place can be visited again on my way back to Yerevan as it is definitely worth it. When I was approaching the following time, I had the most amazing and dramatic light - strong, late afternoon light with heavy, dark, stormy clouds in the back - my favorite combination. The contrast and an amazing surrounding landscape created this stunning shot.... surely the 2nd trip was worth it!

Introduction
Almighty God says, "Born into such a filthy land, man has been severely blighted by society, he has been influenced by feudal ethics, and he has been taught at “institutes of higher learning.” The backward thinking, corrupt morality, mean view on life, despicable philosophy, utterly worthless existence, and depraved lifestyle and customs—all of these things have severely intruded upon man’s heart, and severely undermined and attacked his conscience. As a result, man is ever more distant from God, and ever more opposed to Him. Man’s disposition becomes more vicious by the day, and there is not a single person who will willingly give up anything for God, not a single person who will willingly obey God, nor, moreover, a single person who will willingly seek the appearance of God. Instead, under the domain of Satan, man does nothing but pursue pleasure, giving himself over to the corruption of the flesh in the land of mud. Even when they hear the truth, those who live in darkness give no thought to putting it into practice, nor are they inclined to seek out God even if they have beheld His appearance. How could a mankind so depraved have any chance of salvation? How could a mankind so decadent live in the light?"
Eastern Lightning, The Church of Almighty God was created because of the appearance and work of Almighty God, the second coming of the Lord Jesus, Christ of the last days. It is made up of all those who accept Almighty God's work in the last days and are conquered and saved by His words. It was entirely founded by Almighty God personally and is led by Him as the Shepherd. It was definitely not created by a person. Christ is the truth, the way, and the life. God's sheep hear God's voice. As long as you read the words of Almighty God, you will see God has appeared.
This stylised portrait in fragments is the second of my little tributes today. One of the seminal books of the past 30 years was written by a Polish sociologist, exiled from his home country during the Communist crackdown in 1968. Zygmunt Bauman (1925-2017) was a strong advocate for true people's democracy and he was never afraid to speak the truth to power. His subjects ranged on the changing nature of morality in a postmodern society, the brokenness of so many people and their cultures left in the wake of the so-called economic success of globalisation, the rise of anti-Semitism and violence, and how we should deal with strangers.
In his book "Life in Fragments" (1995) he wanted to explore ways individuals fragmented by the changing pace of life and the sheer "liquidity" of the postmodern situation could come together and form real social bonds beyond the traditional structures of the nation state or religious and racial identity. Bauman is the sort of writer you'll never sum up in neat quotes. Once you read him you have to engage in his whole argument. But I will leave you with one thought-provoking comment that is particularly apposite during this time of rolling lock downs:
"It is because of our loneliness that we open up to the Other and allow the Other to open up to us. It is because of our loneliness (which is only belied, not overcome, by the hubbub of the being-with) that we turn into moral selves. And it is only through allowing the togetherness its possibilities which only the future can disclose that we stand a chance of acting morally, and sometimes even of being good, in the present." (p. 71.
One of the final interviews with sociologist Zygmunt Bauman "Social Media are a Trap":

Ray tagged me, so I had to upload a pic of myself and write 16 facts about me:
1. I have a bad temper, but it usuallly takes lots to make me show it (and then I become Shrek, as Santi says).
2. I tend to be very diplomatic and respectful, but people who don't respect others make my diplomacy disapppear in the blink of an eye.
3. If I don't sleep much my sense of humour gets weirder and I become grumpy. Let me sleep for a while and I'll be really fine.
4. I snore really loudly, I pity anyone who has to sleep near me (or in nearby rooms).
5. I have a sweet tooth, so I like cooking and baking at home when I have some spare time (especially pies, cakes, cookies...)
6. I'm a chocoholic.
7. I love the time I spend with my friends, but I really need (a lot of) time for myself.
8. I love reading and listening to music, and for me it's more a vice than a hobby. Wherever I may go, there will always be at least one book in my suitcase.
9. I read as much as I reread.
10. I've read many more comic books as an adult than in my childhood-teenager years.
11. I'm a baptized Catholic, and a non-practicing one for several decades. I don't like the double morality of the Catholic Church in many matters (especially about children abuse).
12. I used to be very shy when a teenager, it took me a great effort to talk to someone I had just met.
13. I guess I'm the clown of the family (a honour I share with my cousin Irene). When we've sat together at family gatherings we (and our relatives sitting close by) haven't been able to eat much because we've spent most of the time laughing.
14. I can't walk slowly, if I do my feet start aching too much. It always looks like I'm in a hurry, so some people call me "the roadrunner".
15. I prefer winter to summer, I can't stand the heat. But then I also love the blue skies that come with summer...
16. I've never got drunk, don't smoke and I've never tried drugs... That makes me a bit boring?
11. Soy católico, aunque no practicante.
16. Nunca me he emborrachado, no fumo y nuca he probado las drogas... ¿Eso me convierte en un aburrido?
Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.
Soren Kierkegaard.
Søren Aabye Kierkegaard (5 May 1813 – 11 November 1855) was a Danish philosopher, theologian, poet, social critic and religious author who is widely considered to be the first existentialist philosopher. He wrote critical texts on organized religion, Christendom, morality, ethics, psychology, and the philosophy of religion, displaying a fondness for metaphor, irony and parables. Much of his philosophical work deals with the issues of how one lives as a "single individual", giving priority to concrete human reality over abstract thinking and highlighting the importance of personal choice and commitment. He was against literary critics who defined idealist intellectuals and philosophers of his time, and thought that Swedenborg, Hegel, Goethe, Fichte, Schelling, Schlegel and Hans Christian Andersen were all "understood" far too quickly by "scholars" Source Wikipedia.

There is a new SiFi sim in town!
My old friend Kitten Caboose from those cool peeps over at The Grove Art Center has created this unique futuristic environment, really well laid out with some superb details.
I was lucky enough get to do a shoot in the Kidd way going BIG, last week. While my interpretation strays from the builders intended storyline a tad, I had a blast making my frames!

The Sims Story Per the creator:
The story of Three Finger Pines:
Once a thriving, green world, the planet Seva was rich with towering flora. But centuries of unchecked consumerism, pollution, and climate collapse shattered its natural balance. The soil turned sterile; the skies choked with toxins.
The Seravarian race emerged from this collapse, desperate to save what remained of their dying world. They launched a small fleet of ships into the galaxy, searching for planets with atmospheres that echoed their lost home. One such vessel crash-landed on Earth—deep within an isolated region of Canada’s boreal forest known as Three Finger Pines.
Remote and largely untouched, Three Finger Pines is a land of towering pines, sprawling wetlands, and near-complete isolation. To the Seravarians, it was a living memory of what Seva once was.
They have not come to resettle Earth, but to learn from its biosystem. By studying the region’s genetic blueprints—its plants, spores, and soil—they hope to unlock the secrets needed to reawaken Seva’s long-lost ecosystem.
