and breathless fine halo (latin halōs) (ring of light) around them.
You can also guess the the shadowy part of the Moon that is illuminated by the Earth.

Moon on the morning of October 18, 2014. Moon at 24.4 days past New Moon and the Phase at 27% of Full Moon. Photo taken with a 155mm AstroPhysics refractor and a Nikon D300 camera at prime focus. For those of you who are familiar with the moon, note that the darker color of the 170km by 200km Aristarchus Plateau stands out well in this photo. The bright crater Aristarchus marks it on the southeastern corner (to the right of the Plateau) in the photograph. The Aristarchus Plateau is raised above the surrounding maria. To a hardcore moon observer this is arguably the most interesting section on the moon. Photo taken at Columbia, Howard County, Maryland.
The Full Cold Moon or Full Hunger Moon, got its name from Native Americans. February was traditionally the month of the heaviest snow making hunting very difficult.
Colonists called this moon the Full Trapping Moon. The pelts that they sought were the heaviest and finest this month.
The recent harvest moon on a relief print. Inking, pressing and multiple exposure.
Many thanks for looking here and your comments are welcome.
Whenever I study the details of the moon, I wonder what memories they trigger, like raindrops in the mind, for the astronauts that have been there.
A few months ago, Neil Armstrong shared one of his recurring dreams with me. The moon always reminds me of him… and the incredible bravery of those pioneers.
The 75% full moon in August. I bracketed the exposures and processed it into HDR for more definition.

I actually manged to get a photo of the partial lunar eclipse! But i think the photos of the full moon with the clouds diffusing the light looked better.
