Importation into Spain from South America has been banned since 2005. That said, importation continued, peaking at 18,980–21,455 birds in 2015. No wonder then that the species has been self-sustaining for many years now.

THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT TO MY STREAM

I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD NOT FAVE A PHOTO

WITHOUT ALSO LEAVING A COMMENT

Another "gone in 60 sec" moment.....the quality of the photo is not so good, I had to do it fast, and to stay unnoticed....I was somehow embarrassed to interrupt this moment...I had a feeling that i found myself in the middle of old flemish masters painting....

Thanks so much for the visit!

Watching the monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastery creating a sand mandala at Unity Church in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA. It is amazing to watch monks work on a sand mandala over a period of days. Their concentration and the creation of this sacred masterpiece is a prayer.

One from earlier this year which I didn't get round to processing at the time. A misty morning at Monk Coniston Jetty January 2018 taken just as the sun was starting to burn off the mist.
