The 6th World Scout Jamboree ( Jamboree mondial de la paix ) was held in 1947, hosted by France with a venue at Moisson, near Paris, which brought together 24,152 Scouts and Guides from all over the world. This Jamboree had been originally planned to take place in 1941, but was prostponed because of the death of Baden Powell in January of that year.
