KITE Module
KITE derives its name from Kiloelectron volt Ion Temperature Experiment. It was used to determine the temperature produced by the nuclear test device at particular points. The KITE module is an evacuated chamber that forms part of the line of sight. Several KITES were used in each nuclear test, positioned at different points in the rack. The KITE signals were transmitted uphole on thick coaxial cables and recorded either in U.S. or U.K. trailers.

This is my first module and was built in the spring of 1977. I based its theme on a Southern Railway Locomotive #722 Steam Train Excursion I rode between Richmond and Keysville VA some time earlier. It features a town with train station on the right and a lumber facility on the left served by a siding. This module made its first appearance at a NMRA-MER meet in Baltimore MD in the fall of 1977 and appeared again in a layout in Raleigh NC in November of 1977. It also made appearances in Princeton NJ in 1979, the NMRA 1982 National Convention in Washington DC and several appearances with the NMRA-MER conventions that the Tidewater Division hosted. It does not have a mountain division track, so in order to use it in layouts that use the mountain division, two more modules were built to swing the mountain division behind and back out again so that this module could be used in those layouts.

This module is the first one I have made, and is designed to connect to future units. It has a full interior with diagnostic panels and doors opening both ways, though in theory they would only open inwards when connected to other pieces. There is an also an astronaut for a size reference. I didn't feel like doing a full render since it is only one piece but I will do one for full spacecraft.
Tutor's comments: Don’t underestimate how domineering the outside view would be in a property such as this and you also need to consider the scale of the space. White walls would look quite stark and you can certainly afford to be more adventurous with colour and pattern. The colours you have chosen for the upholstery are a little flat and cold, something stronger and with warmer tones would really help to counteract the grey view outside. I like the furniture visuals, they would really suit the space.

I used horizontal line composition for these four photos. The use of lines is basically the most common composition method. Vertical lines emphasized the height of the subject, and horizontal lines emphasized the width.
When shooting the skyline, center the horizontal line, that is, divide the sky and the earth into two parts, and place the horizontal line in the middle, which can give a sense of balance and stability to a large extent. This picture I tried a tripod to shoot myself, I like it very much.
Every vacation, I travel, sometimes with my family, sometimes I travel by myself. The tripod is a graduation gift that my mother gave me. I like it very much. This is the first photo I took with a tripod. It was taken by myself. This is not a simple matter, and it is a challenge for me to find the angle repeatedly. This photo is not one of the best works, but it is the most meaningful. Whenever I travel, I will ask for help from passers-by to help me take pictures, but many times, they are not what I want. This is my most troublesome point. I think it is very useful to learn to take pictures with a tripod. In this lesson, I also learned how to frame and find angles. This will be a record of my future travel. Great progress.
Photography can create a parallel world for me. In this world, I can do anything. I can travel through time and space, find the lost beauty, record them; I can think about the future, imagine the sweetness and happiness of the future; I can reproduce the missed moments and express them in another form; I can Incarnation of superheroes, fulfilling the dreams of childhood, I have a new way to express some emotions that are difficult to express.
After learning the techniques of photography such as long exposure, I hope that on my next trip, I can take more beautiful photos with my tripod.
