Moving of one of the modules I helped assemble for Air Products. The pipe is heavy walled and the module weighed in over 200,000 pounds. They only moved it a few hundred yards, since it was so big and heavy it was built close to the plant it was destined for.

Here's a fairly decent view of the connector linking the CM to the Service Module (SM). Just before the SM was jettisoned, this large array of connections was cut by a guillotine driven by an explosive charge.

This LM is located in the Davidson Saturn V Center.
The J-series of Lunar Modules were the extended stay vehicles used on Apollo 15, 16, and 17. They also carried the Lunar
Roving Vehicle in the bay next to the descent ladder. This model incorporates an engineering model of the Descent Stage (used at MSFC, designers of the Lunar Rover, for studies and fit checks) with a fabricated Ascent stage (note the lack of detail in the hatchway area compared to some other LM images)
An overhead crane lifts the saucer-like 27.5-ton lid of an altitude chamber in the Operations and Checkout Building high bay. The chamber was recently reactivated, after a 24-year hiatus, to perform leak tests on International Space Station pressurized modules at the launch site. Originally, two chambers were built to test Apollo Program flight hardware. They were last used in 1975 during the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project. After installation of new vacuum pumping equipment and controls, a new control room, and a new rotation handling fixture, the chamber again became operational in February 1999. The chamber, which is 33 feet in diameter and 50 feet tall, is constructed of stainless steel. The first module that will be tested for leaks is the U.S. Laboratory. No date has been determined for the test. Image from NASA, originally appeared on this site: science.ksc.nasa.gov/gallery/photos/ Reposted by San Diego Air and Space Museum
The bypass module doesn't look like much but without it the engine will only start and run for a few seconds. By installing this part it bypasses the Vehicle Ant-Theft System and lets the computer pulse the injectors. This was purchased on eBay for less than $20.00 including shipping.
This shot shows the trackage as it will be modeled, although the main will be double track. The intersecting track through the middle will be modeled as abandoned-ripped out, but you can see how the trackage has been realigned from the interchange track to service a siding.

Module Building
Though many varieties of module builders and even combined module builder pickers exist, a typical module builder is a large trailer that is moved by a tractor and remains stationary when used. The wheels are often hydraulically retracted when the module builder is operational. A module builder is about 30 ft. long, 12 ft. high and 10 ft. wide. It works similarly to a garbage truck. When loading the cotton from the cotton picker into the module builder it should be distributed as evenly as possible. After loading the cotton into the module builder, a hydraulic compactor moves up and down along the length of the machine. This process is repeated every time that a cotton picker is unloaded into the module builder until a module is built up and discharged through the tailgate of the machine. The module is stored on the field and the module builder is moved into a new position to build up another module. The weight of one module is about 10 metric tons. (22046.2 lbs.)
In 2002 the ASABE (American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers) dedicated the cotton module builder as an historic landmark of agricultural engineering, naming it "one of the top three inventions in mechanized cotton production.”
Some new modules I am building from fresh parts instead of salvage. From the left there are two new VCO modules and the start of a triple bandpass VCF. They will interface with the backplane as shown. The only hard-wired connections will be the 6.3 and 12.6 voltages to make the tubes light up. The rest of the signals, pot wiring, and HV will be carried through the circular plugs.
A session this evening with my Module 2 portrait model Vanessa. This time I have her running.

Spacelab was a joint effort between NASA and ESA. It was carried in the shuttle orbiter cargo bay and served as a temporary space station to conduct scientific research. Various different pallets were constructed, including a large pressurized module which expanded the orbiter's habitable volume.
HYPREP’s technical personnel visit the spiral separators, control room, and jigging machine at the Rümlang Soil and Gravel Washing Plant (ESAR).
In June 2019, UN Environment organized a technical training to build the technical capacity of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) and its technical personnel. From 11 to 21 June 2019, 21 members of HYPREP’s technical personnel received training on the management and assessment of contaminated land. The training included twelve theory modules followed by two days of field-based exercises and site visits to a soil treatment plant and a remediation site.
In 2018, the United Nations Environment Programme began a project to assist HYPREP to manage the clean-up of oil contamination in Ogoniland. Designed in response to a request from the Government, this project comes as an integral part of the United Nations Environment Programme’s continuing support to the Government of Nigeria to clean up the environmental contamination in Nigeria and achieve lasting peace in the region.
