measures 3x6 feet and will hang on a wall once I figure out how to accomplish that! There are 810 individual "plorigami" modules (origami using squares from fused plastic bags) linked together in this abstract piece. Another case of me wondering "what would happen if".... and now I know the answer! (hoping to make a little slideshow showing the creation of this....need a break from "little plastic pieces" right now though!) Enjoy! BTW: this abstract gives a nod to the Flatirons in Boulder.
NOTE: This project used at least 1600 newspaper bags.
This is a simple module based on 60 degree geometry. 3 Modules are assembled and each module is folded from 7.5cm square of Korean Duo-coloured papers. This model was created on 6th. January 1995 and left in a box of "Not yet diagrammed" models...Now still no diagrams yet but I will do something about it...later.
A session this evening with my Module 2 portrait model Vanessa. This time I have her running. I did deliberately take some street scene shots. Is this bad? I don't know. People do run in places other than with clean backgrounds. Would I be brave enough to submit it though? Again I don't know. I feel a deadline looming and I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. My dog shots were rubbish (didn't bother to upload), and my horse shots never happened as the horse went lame.

The City Space theme continues to inspire. I wanted to use the curved quarter panels as a windscreen, and by excellent luck had the matching curve plate in sand blue. From then on it was just a matter of mixing the design cues and colour scheme from the sets with my build.
Rather pleased with this, looks chunky and industrial near-future. The crane, while functional, can't lift the module without ripping itself apart. Oh well.
Probably won't take any more pictures of the module itself either, it's just an empty shell that seems to be more like a double-decker carriage on a scenic train than a science module. Some more work on that will be required, I think. But that's a problem for another time. I already have an idea for a larger build that will incorporate four of these modules.
And so our primary destination for the day was the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum. We are greeted by the Apollo- Soyuz space module in the entrance lobby. (Washington DC, USA, Oct. 2006)
One of the bunkbeds in the CRM - Crew Rest Module we have on the 767-300ER. Temp control, two flat bunk beds with individual reading and bunk lights, and interphone for talking to the cockpit/flight attendants. There's also a small closet for hanging your uniform shirt while you're sleeping on break.

Governor Kay Ivey joined Hyundai Mobis officials to announce the company’s plans to invest $205 million to open an EV battery module plant in Montgomery at the Alabama State Capitol Thursday October 27, 2022 in Montgomery, Ala. At full-production, the 40,000-square-foot facility will be able to supply over 200,000 EV batteries annually to the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama factory in Montgomery, as well as the Kia plant in Georgia.
