This is my first modular building. It sucks because I was very limited on pieces (almost all pieces come from the Green Grocer, except for a few small ones).

I'll be taking the whole thing down shortly, as I've ordered some new pieces to add better details. Though it will most likely be a completely different building when I'm done with it. XD

P.S. it is based on Market Street, if you hadn't noticed yet. :P

A modular castle MOC that I've built recently as a present for my six years old pal that I use to play with quite a lot (or just my nephew if you will ;) ). It includes a main gate with working drawbridge and portcullis, foldable walls and lots of space to place and pose the minifigures. As much as I could, I was trying to achieve the look and feel of the old LEGO castles that I played with as a kid back in the 80s and 90s.

Design of the battlements modules for the towers and the main gate was heavily inspired by the Kingdoms Modular Castle Creator LEGO Ideas project by Michael Kalkwarf (www.flickr.com/photos/michaelkalkwarf/).

You can find the original project here:

Step 1- Pre-crease to a 4x4 grid. Fold along the lines AB and CD.

Step 2:Mountain fold along the lines shown, only on the bottom layer so that there will be two flaps sticking out as shown in the next step.

Step 3:

Only valley folds as shown.

Now you have the module. Easy part is over. You will need

Zuri is a lounge / club in Belgiums coasttown Knokke. It's located in the casino building. I love the way they didn't make any compromises in the interior design. Everything white, no disturbing elements and awsome lighting armatures by modular. When these led lights change color the walls and furniture take on the same color. It looks great,… sci-fi like. The stange shaped doors add to this feeling.

Several years ago I thought up this concept for a FriendSHIP sub-theme.

Imagine little sets like the Friends bedroom sets, representing different spaceship cabins (medbay, greenhouse, airlock, bunk room, conference room, etc.) that can each click onto the sides of a central corridor. You can attach whichever ones you have in any order, or make your own.

At one end of the main corridor is the bridge (a somewhat larger set, though still with a crazily low parts count in this draft).

At the other end of the corridor there would be an engineering section and then engines, but I never built the back half. At this point I never will.

This MOC has just been taking up space and collecting dust for years, and I've never felt particularly inspired to finish it. The model itself is not that great, and the concept is well illustrated by the parts I already built. So I'm finally taking photos and then breaking it down for parts. Enjoy!

My father's tunnels' with a update. Back in 1999 - 2005, my father kinda went on a LEGO building spree. He built the orginal single track tunnel, a red / white shed (later expanded to double track), a bridge using 6552's river baseplate, a Factory, and an unifinished grain elevator. i am remaking them all to show to the world via Flickr & MOC Pages. The real models have been in my fathers basement since they were built. Anyway, I recreated his tunnel, took off the 32x32 green baseplate, made them modular, and made a double track version to boot. I one of the following photos, you will see one of the way to use both the single& double tracks at the same time... enjoy!

It is no longer a W.I.P., so I might add good pictures of the whole thing soon. Since it is for a LUG event, it had to be modular, and everything seems to go together well. Magma brought his dragon and soldiers, so everything is sitting and waiting for sunlight...

I am actually considering uploading photos to FlickR only after KockeFest, which is three weeks from now.

The model is made of 8 layers, that you can arrange the way you want ! To assemble the Hotel, simly slide each floor on the two Technic axles. You can also use longer Technic axles and create your own floors to make an even bigger hotel !
