Just a simple shot taken in my studio of a model helicopter, lighting was provided by three studio flash heads each with a largish soft box fitted and shot against a white paper backdrop.

First ever attempt at shooting a model, at the Olympus event at Gifford's circus in Oxford. The circus show has an early 70s theme so the model was dressed as a hippie in keeping with the period.

Despite the fact that in photography you write with light, I find playing with the shadow more interesting.

After a very long time, this project has finally come to an end.

sacond version of my favorite WW2 heavy tank.

I started working on it back in may 2011, the first version was finished around August, and this, finalised version was finished a few days ago.

"Tiger I is the common name of a German heavy tank developed in 1942 and used in World War II. The final official German designation was

Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. E, often shortened to Tiger. It was an answer to the unexpectedly formidable Soviet armour encountered in the

initial months of Operation Barbarossa, particularly the T-34 and the KV-1. The Tiger I design gave the Wehrmacht its first tank mounting

the 88 mm gun, which had previously demonstrated its effectiveness against both air and ground targets. During the course of the war,

the Tiger I saw combat on all German battlefronts. It was usually deployed in independent tank battalions, which proved to be quite formidable."

My first version can be seen here: www.flickr.com/photos/angelo_s/6096611896/in/photostream

There are a lot of changed parts, but the most noticable is more curved turret, different mudguards, much better wheel setup.

It also has interior, which can be seen here: www.flickr.com/photos/angelo_s/7320800896/in/photostream

Plus, more pictures will be available on MOCpages soon, I will post the link.

I hope you like it.

Location: Popei in Eindhoven, PopEi is a music center for Eindhoven and surroundings dedicated to bands and musicians who focus on pop music in the broadest sense of the word. Popei is on Strijp-S site, this old Philips site offers many opportunities for photographers to work with light and shadow.

In this picture we used the big windows they have at Popei. By turning his body to the shadow and his face to the light, you can easily send the viewer in this photo.

Working with such a large window is comparable to one studio lamp, if you have mastered it, it will be easier to work with another light source.
