Taken on purpose for the Weekend Assignment and Photo Competition "Intentional Photo Mistake". Camera strap and shadow.
The photo tied for first place.
I should probably label all of my photos as mistakes, because in the end I don't think I've taken one photo that I really like. Or, to say that in a more accurate way, I haven't taken a photo that has turned out the way I wanted it to. Which of course means that I'm still learning.
Today marks the end of my second month taking pictures, and it's been...ok. I've missed a few shoots because I got sick, or my model was busy (I'm learning to hate homework). But I've gotten some practice, and I'm no closer to quiting, so that's probably a good thing.
So I end this month with a shot I really couldn't pull off, and in the end, didn't.

Just found one of my Getty images being used by a German web site. i seem to be doing quite well with the Germans as have sold a few images to them recently...! This image was a complete mistake - one of those where you press the shutter release too fast but they seem to like it!
I'm hoping that I will receive a royalty payment, as it clearly indicates it's a Getty image.
This is my contribution to the Cashril+ Comic Number II:
Pen, brush & black ink on A4 Daler Rowney Paper.
Check out Cashril+'s work. He's super talented.
Come to the launch. In December sometime.
A mistake! but I liked the look of this. Accidentally combined two different subjects from three pictures and this is the result. Yes, you can see some bits of ghosts that have intruded, but apart from that on first glance it looks pretty convincing. The road is not part of the castle in case you were wondering ....!
Sophie made a mistake in 2010. She took this little christmas bird off the tree and pulled out his feathers. The bird felt terrible with no feathers. I think Sophie did also when she saw the mess. I think the bird also has a broken leg. SOPHIE !!!!!!!!!!!
there's a photo of mine in the current issue of bass guitar magazine (the photo of nick from death cab). after looking in 3 newsagents & 1 major bookstore for this mag, i was glad to finally find it, only to look inside and find out that they had miscredited my photo.
and don't even get me started on the fact that they're calling death cab emo.
