This is especially true for learners, as Albert Einstein noted: “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”

Made this y-day. i love this mistake/failure.

ROBERT JOHNS from Thurnby near Leicester was working at a small industrial site when he saw this terminal guard on a nearby wall. It seems a lazy installer couldn’t be bothered to remove and brick up the flue left from the old balanced flue boiler when installing its replacement. The situation was reported and explained to the landlord of the office unit.

I finally got a tripod and I headed downtown to test night photography with it. I'll post photos of the shoot over the next few days. I went to Buckingham fountain and the two Burnham Pavillions. I did want to post this mistake. I was shooting with 10 second exposure times with ISO 125 and F-16. Well I forgot about the long exposure time and I moved the tripod before the time was up - This is what was created. It's sort of neat!

Their CD is amazing. I wasn't even going to stick around and see them, but I did and I was super impressed. Great songs, great style, everything in place for great things to happen for them, if they want it.

[Repost from @thatsundayshow] When I started this show over 4 years ago, I had no idea it would be so personally and creatively rewarding. My main goals were to create a space for artists to try their weird stuff, to perform in a production with the point of view of "no mistakes, only gifts." And, to be honest, I wanted a place I could play, to explore the art of comedic improvisational theater. I wanted to create in the medium of improv without any preconceived plan or pattern. And I wanted to invite my friends and improv heroes so I could play with them. It wasn't a groundbreaking goal, but I knew it would be very fun. Thus The Session was created. This ever evolving piece has been endlessly enjoyable. I get to play with friends! These beautiful artists challenge me, intimidate me, and surprise me every time. And this show would not be the same without the guest acts. I have gotten to witness so much genius, from polished professionals to freshly created emerging groups. I have laughed so hard at the most amazingly ridiculous things. And I have learned so much. I'm truly grateful that artists share their work and passion with our show and our audiences. And our audiences! So many wonderful people have allowed this show to experiment and be weird. This adventure would never be possible without you. There is no thank you but enough to convey my gratitude. Thank you. Thank you to everyone that has played, attended, shared, liked, recommended, laughed, high fived, and wished well. So grateful. So excited for more. -Micah #chicagotheater #art #comedy #improv #improvcomedy #sketchcomedy #chicagoimprov #chicago #grateful #standupcomedy #tss #nmog #50 #regrann ift.tt/2YyTQNM

This is the last of the good ruined pictures (if that makes sense) but I'll still post a few more. Milton is fixed and has a new roll of film, more waiting for new pictures but at least I have a film camera again yay!

I didn't mean to take this at this angle with this lighting. Woot for mistakes!

This Swansea Heads (East Lake Macquarie, NSW) series are photographs taken on a Friday morning walk, 13th January, 2012. Walking and driving around the headland, on a beautiful summer day.

This is taken at Reids Mistake Head looking down the secluded little beach there.

Swansea and surrounds, including the headland, Caves Beach and the greater region have to be the best kept secret and I hope it stays this way... for the most part they remain free from the clutches of greedy developers who only ruin the very essence of places like this.

I feel very fortunate to have experienced living here for about 7 years or so.

The reason they are linked to my pinch river profile is because they will inevitably feed into my work at some stage in some way or another, but for now can just be enjoyed as images of the lake that captured my attention and inspired my creativity.

One Of The Biggest Mistakes Many New Business Owners Make (And How To Avoid It)

So you’ve got a brilliant idea that you want to turn into a business. You want to save every penny possible as you get things going, so you file the papers to create your own business entity. It’s pretty simple, after all. You find some forms online, fill them out, and you you should be in business in no time flat.

Not so fast!

With more than half-a-million new businesses starting in the United States each year, there are bound to be some mistakes. And among the biggest are errors related to new business entity and license filing.

When it comes to starting a new business, you’re not dealing with a one size fits all situation.

Choosing The Wrong Business Entity Could Cost You

Each type of business entity has its own advantages and disadvantages. For example, if you decide to go into business for yourself, you’ll probably choose a sole proprietorship. All it takes is an application for a special Tax ID number and you’re good to go.

But did you know that, by selecting this type of business entity, you’ll be opening up yourself to potential tax and legal liabilities?

Or what if you choose to register as a corporation? Are you prepared to be compliant with the required record-keeping and filing obligations? Not only is there a lot of extra paperwork with a corporate entity, it can also be quite costly.

How Do You Pick The Right Entity?

When deciding what type of business entity to form, you’ll want to evaluate several criteria.

Legal liability: Do you, as the owner, need to be insulated from the legal liabilities of the business? Or are you able to personally afford any potential risk your business might create for you?

Tax Implications: Depending on your individual situation and your goals as a business owner, it’s important to understand what opportunities exist for you to minimize your taxes.

Cost implications: While some entities may involve potentially higher taxes, others can come with higher formation costs and ongoing expenses. It’s a good idea to determine from the start which can serve you best in the long run.

Of course, there are many other things to consider, but these are some of the most common.

A morning of 15 mistakes in Munich ... REMEMBER to reset the multi-exposure lever after fiddling with it !!!

"Mistakes" are unintentional exposures with some simple, arbitrary image processing applied, such as "I'm Feeling Lucky" in Picasa. The results are sometimes nice to look at in their own way.

I had to remove the inner skin after the building inspector told me I'd done it wrong. Hopefully I learn from my mistakes.

Can you spot this driver's deliberate mistake?

On this day I was experimenting with using sunglasses lens as a color filter for my camera. This was a yellow "filter" and I did not cover the lens completely on accident, resulting in the blue arc at the top of the photo. I am so happy I made that mistake.

I do wish the color of everything else wasn't so yellow, but it makes for a good contrast with the blue at the top.

This is the signature cocktail at Tiki-Ti, created accidentally by master bartender Ray in 1968.

As I understand the story, he was making an Anting Anting for a regular and grabbed the wrong syrups by mistake, as he was trying to keep eye contact with his customer. He was about to dump it out when the customer said not to worry, he'd just drink it anyway. "Hey, waitaminute ... this is really good!" Hence, Ray's Mistake was born, and it's now the most popular drink on their menu.

It's also really really good, described as containing "our own super-secret flavors, botanic liqueurs, passion fruit and floated with dark Coruba rum."

This was Wes' first time at Tiki-Ti, so naturally he had to have this one. And if I have to start over again, I thought I couldn't get to a better start than this.

Got to love this. Componant?? On no no!

Making mistakes is natural...

Thinking in a wrong way is natural too...

The true problem is denying our mistakes, and thinking that we're perfect...

It's ok to apologise..

It's alright to think that we might be wrong and the other person might be right...

Berlin, today.

James and Laura meet casually after many years. Their love is still alive under their formal conversation. Was it a mistake? Is it a mistake?

January 6, day 6 - Removing my mistakes, one stitch at a time. The quilt's for my granddaughter who is now 5 weeks old. Didn't finish it before she was born and I didn't finish it for Christmas. Time to get back to it and get it done.
