These moths inhabit chalk and limestone grassland, woodland, marshland and gardens
Hiding deep in the shadows the tiny Mint moth (Pyrausta aurata) can be seen flying and feeding in the daytime. April-June and second generation July -mid September.

The Mint Moth so called because the caterpillars feed mainly on spearmint, cat mint, marjoram and thyme. They can be found in gardens and on grassland and wetlands in July and August.

La rambla de Puça, en Petrer (Alicante), tiene bellos rincones por donde vuelan y campean diversas especies de odonatos.
Una de las especies más numerosa es Calopteryx haemorrhoidalis, que podemos observar en diferentes etapas de su vida, desde su fase larvaria hasta adulta.
En esta foto un macho posado sobre una planta de menta.
The Rambla de Puça, in Petrer (Alicante), has beautiful corners where various species of odonata fly and roam.
One of the most numerous species is Calopteryx haemorrhoidalis, which we can observe at different stages of its life, from its larval to adult stage.

I found this cool little Weevil in my Maryland neighborhood. I've never seen one with this pretty mint green coloration before.
