I like this small boxy version of a regular dozer. I think it's also called a mini loader or mini excavator. It's almost like a toy really.

I have since learned this is an all purpose machine. Different blades can be switched in place of the excavator such as a dozer or a back hoe(insert Paris Hilton joke here).

This is the excavated portion of a ditch beneath Silbury Phase 3, which may be part of a Henge enclosure. The chalk fill was broken up with the mini-digger visible at the end of the tunnel, but it all had to be removed by shovel and barrow. I am contemplating how on earth to record the section quickly with all the shoring in the way.
