We added another miniature painting to our "Before Photography" collection. It came with no information and the mounting appears to be original and we are reluctant to try to open it.

Miniature Oribana ENTICING
ENTICING PAPER ROSES eBook

Learn how to fold every detail of the unique oribana design – flowers, stalks, leaves, a vase and then how to unite them into the entire composition!
This mini Oribana is just 3 inches (7.5 cm) high. Starring models are Mini-Rose designed by Yuri, Jasmine and Semicircular Vase designed by Katrin. Used washi, hand-made Japanese paper, called "Moriki Kozo" for every element in the composition - the plants and the vase.
Happy folding!
In the same garden as I found the daffodils yesterday. I adore Irises, either miniature or the full sized ones.
Thank you for your favourites. :O)
La Petite Patisserie
A miniature bakery built by my daughter. She constructed the building with a door that opens. Inside the window and on shelves there are Re-ment cookies, macarons, & cream puffs, along with some handmade cakes, loaves of bread and of course, croissants!

Miniature abandoned kitchen.
The scene is done! :)
Inspiration : my mum who loves to photograph abandoned spaces and often takes part in the 'lost spaces' tours in Berlin; Lori Nix, whose work I adore; history of humankind (we've been through a few ends of civilizations already); the sublime (beauty in what is technically ugly)
Goods : a kitchen I made a few years ago but I didn't really like anymore. The fridge was found on ebay, the sink I bought in a miniature shop in Barcelona.
Why? : I have a fascination for abandoned places, in the sense that they show what's going to be left when we die or go. They remind us of our inevitable end. And also that things (and vegetation) will outlive us.

Comet Miniatures was a shop specialising in film and TV related models and memorabilia in London. They closed the shop in 2013 but continued to operate via mail order and online, later changing their name to Timeless Hobbies. They sold mainly model kits of the more traditional kind, but they also produced some small, solid-metal, movie-related miniatures in the 1980s called "Mini-Metals".
This is No. MM11 of the SF Mini-Metals series of models.

I really rock sometimes, if I may say so. (I know, I don't suffer from modesty).
I finished my initial round of miniatures for the Momoko kitchen. Mostly, they are what you saw in the work-in-progress shots, plus some random bits, like yogurt tubs made from toothpaste caps.
YAY! It's just like old times in Russia, when I used to make everything for my dolls (except now I have Google, and Photoshop, and a good printer, and graphic design skillz ^_^ )
So. Who wants to know how I did these buggers?
Ok. On the left we've got 3 tubs of yogurt. Labels came from trawlling the Google. The lids were sort of winged - I took part of the side label and filled in where it needed it to make it into a circle. The templates were made by the age-old respected tradition of winging it. I was all set to remember my geometry, and even recalled a couple of formulas, and then I was like, oh, wtf, and wrapped a piece of paper around the cap, traced the borders, and scanned the sucker.
Cans and jars came with the furniture set. I painted the tops and bottoms with silver for the cans, and the jars got golden lids. Labels are from the internet for the jars and the tomato cans. The canned fruit labels I designed in the best traditions of Re-Ment - instead of "Del Monte" the label reads "Ful Monte" ^_^
The soap thing came with the set. It used to be lavender ^_^ The bottles started out as dirty ivory.
The dressing bottle started its life as a hard liquor from Gloria set. I decided to rehab it, because I feel that its shape is much better suited to be a dressing bottle.
I designed the labels for the bags. I decided that one will be string beans and the other - fava beans. The apples had to be red delicious. The UPC codes had nothing to do with anything, they're probably not even scannable at this point.
