Comfortable shoes are important to photographers. We are on our feet all day sometimes, so a cheap pair of flip flops won't do, nor will shoes that rub painfully on your foot. Vollenda is using her giant flip flop pillows to illustrate the concept of every photographer having their own favorite and trusted pair of shoes to wear at a photo shoot.

Vollenda Played with shots of her "At Symbol" light up character sign tonight (Kwanon had down the arrow earlier in the year). Being a Miss Multimedia, the At Sign hangs in her office, appropriately labeling newly framed pictures taken AT a cool location.

Attending a wedding at a VFW hall, Kwanon couldn't resist going outside to photograph the tank on display once dinner and formal dances were over.

Mini Camera

Story:

Taken with a "Mini Camera" <-- That's exactly what it's called. The camera was a free gift in my mum's mailorder delivery about 15+ years ago and I could never find out any information about it or it's film.

Fast forward to recent times and the new love of plastic cameras arrived. I found the "Ikimono" camera in Tokyo, the exact same one as mine and I had finally unlocked the puzzle.

This camera and film really did amaze me in so many ways and allowed me to take a photo with little thought or effort. I've only taken 2 rolls (2 years ago now) but hope to take more soon.

The funny thing about this camera is that you have no idea what you're taking. It's wide angle actually surprised me too.

It's 10:38p.m. You're hungry after a meeting that ran late, but all the restaurants in town are closed. Where do you go? The Taco Bell drive thru for some Fiery Doritos® Locos Tacos! Nothing warms the night like a packet of fire sauce. Vollenda likes her tacos warm and fresh; besides, she was just too hungry to tolerate driving home with the delicious faux Mexican food smell filling her car, so she parked in the lot to dine. Nothing can keep you from your tacos -- except Photo of the Day! Since Vollenda hadn't taken a picture yet with just over an hour to spare, she grabbed her emergency tripod from the back of the car and photographed her food with the restaurant sign. Only then did the Camera climb back into the car to eat her Fiery Doritos tacos.

Vollenda was inspired to take this picture for Photo of the Day by Hot Fudge Sundae Day. She didn't have all the fixings to make a good sundae, but being so hot, ice cream still sounded like a cool subject. So, she photographed this ice cream cookie sandwich and Snicker's ice cream bar, devouring them after the shoot, of course! #HotFudgeSundaeDay

Vollenda looks longingly at an Eiffel Tower replica jewelry holder among her collection of vintage cartes postales (postcards) on top of her armoire. Staring into the mirror, the Camera pretends she was really in Paris photographing the landmark – or at least at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas! Kwanon sees the look of her lens in the reflection, understanding completely Vollenda's adventurous need for exploration, as he is an explorer himself. The two miniature Cameras had an exciting year doing Photo of the Day together and reflected upon their journey tonight.

NOTE: Taken at 11:33p.m., this photo captured the honor for the latest time of day Photo of the Day was ever taken, surpassing the record holding image from July 8th, which was taken at 10:38p.m.

NOTE 2: The Eiffel Tower had been a backup idea for Photo of the Day since spring that I wanted to still fit in now at the end. Often imaging vintage photo post cards (or a " carte postale"), I thought they would add to the French theme in this shot. When the photo ended up being the second to last day, I came up with the idea to have our Cameras send each other a note about the past year doing this project, which is written on the postcards. Their addresses were actually already introduced in the image from March 15th.
