At this years East Neuk Festival I found this picture of the cover of the poster for the 2017 event and it features one of Fife’s amazing milestones.
Old milestones by the A4244. The same obsolete anglicised spelling of Caernarfon is employed, I've been unable to ascertain the period when his was the officially accepted form. Was a replacement commissioned after the original was damaged?
When in more rural areas you come across old roadside furniture which doesn't always survive in the more populated areas.

Last November 19th, I broke 10 million views - a major milestone for me. Well, I just hit 5 million (5,000,000) more views in one year and seven days (~13,440 views per day) after that mind-boggling number.
I'm humbled by this achievement. But if anyone can figure out how I can make a living or just make some extra $$$ from my pics, please send me your ideas?

ODC - 3/17/2015 - Milestone
A pub discussion led me to this milestone. The name of a place called Cernioge puzzled me.
It was a vital stage coach horse change station between Cerrig y Drudion and Pentre Foelas.
I don`t think the miles are very accurate, but there again they did not have any sat nav`s in them days !
Mike Davies from Rayleigh through the Looking Glass and John Nicholls from the Milestone Society after we straightened and turned this milestone to its correct orientation.
Raafae reached a major milestone this week. For nearly 2 years he would only fall alseep by nursing unless he was really really tired. He would wake up in the middle of the night and would have a bottle of milk. At naps and bedtime he would only fall asleep with milk.
I went cold turkey and just stopped and it just worked, dont know why i didnt try it sooner.
My husband has found that he falls asleep with believe or not a bum massage!! my mum thinks its bizarre but i dont care , it works!
Today my photostream hit 300,000 total views. Who'd have thought that would ever happen.
Thanks to each one of you who has taken the time to look at any of my photos. That effort is sincerely appreciated.

Hadleigh Road, Ipswich
This milestone, now within the Borough's urban area, recalls a time when this was out in rural Sproughton parish.
As titled, I took this photo of my sister while out for dinner with the family at Milestones. Noticed the beautiful orange and turquoise lighting in the background and knew it would translate well onto an image.
I've always loved the orange and turquoise toned lighting (although insanely overused in major films); there's just something magical about it and I definitely want to experiment with it (and perfect it) whatever video portfolio piece we work on next.
Prussian milestone at the Bundesstraße 9 in Bonn, Germany.
After the Rhineland had become part of the Kingdom of Prussia, the new government was quick to develop the highway along the Rhine from Cologne to Mainz as the Cöln-Mainzer Staatsstraße. Parts of this road hat already been rebuilt by the French government with a route that in many cases followed that of a Roman military road. Large sections of this centuries old route are identical with the modern day Bundesstraße 9.
Remains of the Prussian phase in the history of the highway remain in the form of milestones, placed, more or less, one Prussian mile (or 7.532 km) apart from each other. Following the design outlined in the 1814 Anweisung zur Anlegung, Unterhaltung und Instandsetzung der Kunststraßen, theses milestones were fashioned in form of a stone obelisk with benches on either side. A metal eagle as the symbol of Prussia is facing one side, while the distances to Cologne is inscribed on the other.
