This is the back of the main PCB from a USDM 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX. The processor is MH8306F, which is basically a Hitachi (now Renesas) SH2.

 

I didn't take this! My very talented wife has a handy studio setup for taking product shots like this, and since I'm incredibly lazy, I deferred to her. :) She's over at muddybootsphotography.blogspot.com/ if you're curious about her work.

A bit of memory from an old computer.

Close-up of the control logic for the IBM 4758's innards. Contains bus glue, a microcontroller supervisor and the AMD Elan SC410. The microcontroller is the part that was powered by the external batteries, and was arguably the root of trust of the device, containing the device keys. The Lattice part glued the SC410 to the UltraCypher, via I believe ISA. No speed demon, but got the job done.

This week's homework was to take three images that are about you (eg hobbies, etc), with one of them being a self portrait.

 

Image info: Nikon D90 with Sigma 105mm Macro. SB 600 camera left (covered in blue cellophane), SB 700 camera right (covered in red cellophane), SB 600 bounced off white ceiling.

Playing my new acquisition, El Capitán in Lautapelaamaan 2012.

Because i use two Red Baron in parallel, i added two UF.L connectors for the right and left data stream.

The second pair for CLK and LLLR are on the backside.

I really miss my dark room.
