This is the back of the main PCB from a USDM 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX. The processor is MH8306F, which is basically a Hitachi (now Renesas) SH2.

Close-up of the control logic for the IBM 4758's innards. Contains bus glue, a microcontroller supervisor and the AMD Elan SC410. The microcontroller is the part that was powered by the external batteries, and was arguably the root of trust of the device, containing the device keys. The Lattice part glued the SC410 to the UltraCypher, via I believe ISA. No speed demon, but got the job done.
This week's homework was to take three images that are about you (eg hobbies, etc), with one of them being a self portrait.
