West Lothian was the centre of much ‘high tech’ industry. By 1980, there were 30 electronics companies in Livingston New Town. This led to the town being known as the capital of Scotland's Silicon Glen and, in turn, attracted a number of Japanese companies to set up operations in Livingston.

Testing the macro filter on a 18-105mm lens. This is my first macro filter experience.

 

Set up: Speedlight set at 1/24 using a home made softbox triggered by pop-up camera flash.

 

I can say the distortion on borders is quite important compared to the macro tubes. However the possibility of using automated focusing is quite an advantage.
