Overview from port forward. That little area of trans-black is the bridge.

In the beginning of space travel, the ranges of FTL travel were limited to the drives themselves. As time went on, drives became more advanced and ships began to rely more on fuel. Captains had to pack their cargo holds with fuel or find somewhere to stop and refill.

Out on the Galactic Rim (where a hold full of cargo is an explosive possibility) independently minded people have been quick to take advantage. Like the hermit crabs of old Earth, purveyors of these refuelling depots find a suitable rock, burrow inside, set up basic life support and open as a going concern.

Captains usually set themselves up in very densely populated asteroid belts and have the ability to shut down all beacons and power and become undetectable at a moment's notice. The threat of fuel pirates are an ever present one and depot captains often contract mercenaries for protection during times of local upheaval.

This model has a long range communication system and is able to store and transmit messages over extra long distances. Entrepreneurial depot captains take a stipend from each message, further augmenting their incomes.

Crew: 2-10

Manufacturer: No standard design, asteroid dependent.

Weaponry: Nil.

Special: Augmented fuel capacity. Long range communication beacon.

Scarper - it's the rozzers!

After another week, I've got a main bridge and engine set up I'm happy with. Really finding it helps to 'rough build', ie. tack things into place to see how it looks before going ahead and building for real.

The underside is almost complete now too - but I think it looks better than the top now, so may go back and redo a few things. I'm currently seeing greebles when I close my eyes. I have to get this finished soon...

Some more pics.

Huge disparities exist within the universe. Although developed societies travel through space and do myriad amazing things with technology, the individuals and groups on the Galactic Rim have more urgent problems to worry about, and very little cash and tech with with to deal with them.

Colonists on Axila VII needed a craft which could work on the half of the planet made of water, the tiny part made of land and the remainder made of swamp. The Old Earth idea of a hovercraft was just perfect.

The designers of the 'Seadog'-class of craft released the blueprints onto the ExtraNet and it has become exceptionally throughout the Rim. This most proliferated design uses a rear-mounted repulsor-push generator and a hover-cushion made from a alloy-polymer blend. Flexible enough to perform on various terrains, but tough enough not to puncture.

With a minimum crew of two, the second member there to operate the energy turret, the 'Seadog' is an adaptable and affordable solution to terrestrial transport, logistics and often combat.

Length: 14m

Crew: 2 (1 pilot, 1 gunner). Upto 12 passengers.

Manufacturer: Various groups.

Role: Transport, patrol, combat.

Armament: 1 x Anti-Vehicle Cannon (turreted)

Maximum velocity: 81mph

Operational Range: 200 miles.

The lightbrick inside does a decent job of making it glow

Finally digitized this creation. It has a few more fixes, namely a more clear interior, folding fins, better guns, and rear landing gear. The arms also move up and down at the shoulder area slightly but I forgot to animate that. There are instructions for this model here: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-47640/TheRealBeef1213/prowler

After the interplanetary pirate space war the leaders of the Earth relized they needed a better defense form interplanetary pwnage. Earth set up a number of these defense gird outposts around the globe prepared to defend the planet from cosmic boogeymen and galactic n00bs. This outpost may look like normal buildings but during an invasion they are more than meets the eye. Outpost 55 is equiped with a standard proton beam laser that can knock a space ninja juggernaut battlecrusier out of the sky faster than you can dish out the lolz. This outpost also features a ground-to-air missle launch pad useful for taking out space zombie starfighters.

Sorry for the retarded back story. It felt appropriate. This is my first try at town so some suggestions are welcome.

Microscale really isn't my strongsuit whatsoever...

But was fun trying to make something! I'll have to make some more micro's in the future. This is half of my micro rewards from the last BOBS challenges.

This is Fernq Engineering's second jet fighter, and it's even faster than the first one.

HMS Babalas in Micro/macro scale. Whatever you call it. I figured the dockyards would look a bit empty without something.

When the war came to the Antarion IV, the factories became a significant target for heavy bombers of the enemy faction. As a result, each factory was upgraded to defend itself and ultimately the factories on Antarion IV became as heavily armed as the war machines they produced.

Ununillon Shipyards T-X1 Military Tanker: The Pasconis

Affiliation: Fiston Republic

Manufacturer: Ununillon Shipyards

Length/beam/draft: [scale???]

Armor/shield level: 4x 4ft thick ultra-light aluminum alloy plating and an average of 1ft thick armor plating on rest of vessel/Class 4

Sublight engines/lightspeed engines:

Sublight speed/lightspeed:

Range: 832 earth days

Crew: 561

Armament: 32x 5in laser cannons, 82x 1in laser cannons, and up to 12 spacecraft.

Watts of fuel: 8.7x1019 volts

The Pasconis T-X1 Military Tanker is the Fiston Republics current military refueling vessel. She is one of the largest of its kind and is the Fiston Republics sole military refueling vessel. Shortly before the Second Piracy War the Pasconis was contracted out secretly to Ununillon Shipyards with the hope that this small private shipwright would be able to build the Pasconis “under the radar”. But due to strict regulations with the Jixnor Democracy the Pasconis was revealed to Jixnor Democracy. However, the Jixnor Democracy didn’t want to make a political mess out of the situation and agreed to allow the Fiston Republic to build the vessel secret. The Pasconis took over eight years to build; financial battles within the Fiston Republic and the Second Piracy War prohibited the full amount of resources to be committed to such a project. Only well after the Second Piracy War was over, combined with the fear of a growing Trynin military, did the Fiston Republic finally finish the Pasconis in late 2070.

The Pasconis is armed just well enough to discourage pirates and repel spacecraft attack. She has no Hinton cannons or Burst cannons, she is only armed with just enough point defenses to provide a full firing arc and more than two dozen 5in anti-ship laser to repel small cruisers. She relies on a battle group of two Raret-Class Light-Cruiser’s and one Rittonin-Class Battlecruiser for protection from large vessels.

The Pasconis is equipped with a very small hanger bay to accommodate up to twelve spacecraft; this makes moving supplies and crew easier.

The Pasconis suffers from poor maneuverability and speed. But the Pasconis does not need to be fast and manuerveralbe – she just has to hold lots of fuel. The Pasconis isn’t the largest refueling vessel in the galaxy but she is the most modern and as a result holds the most fuel among the mobile tankers in this galaxy. Her battery banks are incased in 4ft of a protective aluminum alloy to protect herself and others from her dangerous concentration of selonic cells. She also has a Class 4 shield generator and 1ft thick armor plating to ensure her ability to survive an attack until help can arrive.

The Pasconis was kept secret to all but the highest governing officials within the Fiston Republic and the Jixnor Democracy. During the Second Piracy War pirates captured the Trynin Empire’s military refueling vessel, overloaded the selonic cell banks and took out seven Trynin vessel in the resulting explosion; every nation since has build or maintained their military refueling vessels in secret. Two years of the Agronomic War was information leaked to public about the Pasconis and her life. The Pasconis has spent most of her active career docked at a Fiston military R&D facility in wide orbit of Patri Proclur far away from the Agronomic War and out of sight from any other prying eyes. She refueled only a dozen or so ships during the Agronomic War until the [push toward Trynin] assault; the Pasconis was called to the frontline to refuel the flagship of the Concero Republic, the Rander-Class Battlecruiser. This was her only active military mission on record.

The communication array aboard the Pasconis is state of the art providing it with logistical means of tracking all the vessels in the Concero Republic fleet calculating how much fuel has been used and when vessels need to be refueled. She is also a very useful data point, providing a secure server to relay information between Concero Republic resources.

The design of the Pasconis has not yet been truly tested but the Fiston Republic plans on building five more; one for itself and it plans on selling the other four to the Jixnor Democracy, the U.E.C, and the Trynin Empire. Even though the design of the Pasconis has not been truly tested the design shows promise.

A microscale Moon Trike built for the Builder's Lounge 10-piece challenge. 10 pieces total, not counting the challenge piece. Looks best on black.

I am planning on entering the [toysnbricks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=5232] mini modular competition on Toys n' bricks. However, my entry, this, seemed to be wayyyy out of scale with the mini modulars after I finished. This is an airport, incase you haven't yet noticed. It still fits in with the mini modulars, it's just to disproportional. I still want to stick to the air travel theme, and must stick to the >300 brick rule. Suggestions, C&C, etc., etc. welcome and needed!

Some tutorials and an hour of rendering time later.

This view shows off the Dreadnought's fleet of four SkyTanks (of varying specifications).

In days gone by, ocean based navies would use seemingly benign looking ships as 'commerce raiders'. They would disguise themselves as civilian ships in order to destroy and cripple the merchant shipping of opposition forces.

The Gen-7 is officially classed as a Civilian Infiltration Vehicle. Built around the bare bones of a popular Boeing-Royce shuttle-pod frame, the Gen-7 is equipped for counter-intelligence, sabotage, raiding and electronic warfare.

Officially, this class of ship defies several rules and conventions of war. Nevertheless, it is made and utilised by several of the Solar intelligence forces, including Mosad, the CIA and MI7.

Crew: 2 (minimum. 1 pilot, 1 electronic warfare operative).

Weaponry: 4 Particle Cannons (forward facing, concealed and hidden from scan)

Engines: 1 Ex-On IonGo thruster.

Special: Extensive electronic warfare facilities, 2 prison pods and switchable IFF codes.

Main image of my Shiptember 2024 submission. I apologize for the late upload, and for the poor quality.

Included are miniatures of some of the other Shiptember ships. Ktorrek's Muirgel, and Madoruk's BA-N4x2. I had also Oscar Cederwall's B3-Marauder Heavy Fighter, but unfortunately it fell off and I didn't notice. I will upload a separate picture of it though.

I am hoping to have this done by Saturday for some Microspace gaming. I really felt motivated to build last night and got this much together in about an hour. Would rather be building than at work...

I've been working on this for about 3 weeks, finding the change from minifig scale to microscale quite a challenge - but an enjoyable one :)

A creation of the Korean Combine Forces, the Stalker is a modern and advanced piece of technology deployed throughout the Core and Rim.

Heavily armed, the shoulder cannon can target aircraft and ground targets independently of the arm cannons. Additionally, the torso can move in a 360 degree arc independent of the legs below.

Like all battle walkers, the legs are highly articulated but vulnerable. The design is cost prohibitive and exclusive to the Korean military forces. Almost exclusive.

Manufacturer: Doosan Group (under military contract)

Crew: 1 [pilot]

Weaponry: 2 x double-barrel arm cannons [fragmentation]

1 x pulse cannon [shoulder mounted]

Armour: Medium/Heavy
