While going through spotify one day 8 weeks ago, I came across the new Basement Jaxx album. I've always been a fan of their dance music, but hearing their tracks being composed by the metropole orkest just blew my mind.
While listening to the album, the 'Hey U' track in particular caught my attention and ideas came flooding in of a parade of exotic animals performing the track. I felt compelled to animate something and here is a still from the finished project.
You can watch it here:

Yet again a very easy object of the week: my ticket to the wonderful Wende Snijders concert with the Metropole Orchestra last night.
Read all about it on my blog Tommie Presents... ("I just can't get enough...", dated 17 May 2008).
The Metropole Orchestra, conducted by Vince Mendoza, rehearsing for the 5th of May concert. The stage is a temporary one, floating in the Amstel river; view towards the Prinsengracht. It was far out to sing with this fantastic orchestra on this spectacular stage!
