I ended up going to the concert alone because my friend had to cancel at the last minute — her son had a fever and coughing fits. I was about to stay at home, but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to see my favorite group live. Besides, I was already ready to leave the house when she called to tell me that she couldn’t go with me.
When I was at the entrance of the club where the concert was going to take place, I felt awkward because everyone was with their friends or their partners. Once the concert started, I forgot those silly thoughts and just enjoyed it. But when they started playing my favorite song, I couldn’t hold back my tears. I wished I had had someone special to hold my hand, like Hachiko and Nana did at the Trapnest concert.
But this is real life, or at least my reality. If I were in a TV series or a film, I would have met the love of my life at the concert. Instead, I went back home alone, and nobody approached me to talk to me. Well, except for a teenage girl who apologized a couple of times because she stepped on me and pushed me while we were dancing — LOL.
