added metallic alcohol inks to my ceramic blanks and sent some back to me:) I'm really looking forward to making some necklaces with them.
"With her two-toned take on trends, Cloetta magically transforms any hot look into something one of a kind and totally unique! Metallics are huge this year, so some wicked bling in silver and gold is a must for this teen witch. They shimmer and shine together, and look absolutely enchanting against Cloetta's wintertime glow!"
Ainda falta 2 magnéticos pra mim testar, e pretendo comprar outros.(aloka xD)

Pytho depressus (Coleoptera, Pythidae) female. Body length: 12 mm.
There's no English name for this small particular family of beetles, but translating the German (Drachenkäfer) or Hungarian (sárkánybogár) name we get 'Dragon beetle'. However, the origin of this name is unclear for me. Larvae of this species live under pines bark, pupate there in the Autumn. Adults overwinter in the pupal chamber and come out in the next Spring.
I found the already transformed beetles under bark of Ausrtian pine (Pinus nigra) and let them move out for photography. Two handheld stack in this post, the main photo was stacked from 9 diffused flashlight shots. Taken with the MP-E65 lens at 1.4x magnification, f/8, 1/30 sec., ISO 200.

$30 for 3--Perfect for the modern decor or the holidays, these unscented candles are hand-painted by women artisans in South Africa. The full-size 10" tapers burn for about 6-8 hours. The wicks are 100% cotton and are lead-free. All paints are of German origin, are water based and lead-free. Please note that within each design the colors and patterns may vary. Price is for a set of 3, one each of silver, gold, and copper.
Ashley, Beauty, Esilly, Gift, Maria, Nonhlanhla, Prudence, Thokozile and Vusani are able to earn a fair living wage hand painting these candles. Like the candles, the atmosphere in the workshop is lively. There is singing, music, laughter, chatter and the joy is evident on the faces of our team. The tangible benefit is that their work provides food for their families that they wouldn't be able to afford otherwise. The intangible, but life-long benefit, is the sense of self-worth and pride they develop because of their work.

PCA 141 - Metallic Surfaces

Assignment:
One of the tougher lighting challenges in photography is dealing with shiny metallic surfaces. The reflective properties of polished metal can play tricks with exposure and make for challenging compositions. There should be many items around the house to use for subjects (cutlery, chromed items, jewelry, etc.). This assignment is based on a chapter in an often-recommended book titled Light-Science & Magic: An Introduction to Photographic Lighting.
WIT: I found this assignment to be a challenge. Took about 40 shots using various settings. Used white foam cork board as well as several white poster boards to surround the grater in order to keep colors from being reflected in the grater. The dark area at the top of the grater may be a reflection of the camera, but I am not sure. Could not eliminate it. Used two clamp lights with reflectors for the lighting. So, I am submitting this image - against my better judgment - as I'm not sure it was successful. Not sure whether the goal was to avoid a bright reflection coming off the object??
