The World's largest Victorian glasshouse, opened in 1862 and Grade I listed.

Following a major five-year renovation process, the Temperate House reopened in 2018. The ironwork is astounding, and I love it!

I find the reverse 3-D effect to be unusual and amazing. Done by the sculptor of this piece, not me.

Greenbank no5 signal gantry was removed in a weekend possession a few days later - the signal having been replaced sometime earlier and the metalwork supporting the original head being condemned. I reckon the A559 road bridge looks in worse condition!

 

150109 and 150140 slow for the stop at Greenbank on 3rd June 2021 with 2D48 1241 Manchester Piccadilly to Chester.

The parts have all been made; it is time for painting and then debugging. There are more truck and brake parts that have not been assembled for these photos.

On a side-street in Nyaung-U (next to Bagan) in Myanmar. In a country that has lots of second-hand and/or older equipment, fabricating your own replacement parts is often necessary. Due to the language barrier, I couldn't figure out what he's making, but it looks like possibly the beginning of an engine bearing.

Oingt originally developed around its chateau and the castle's chapel became the village church. The tower in Oingt was the dungeon of the castle and was built in 1193. The village climbs uphill along narrow streets to the church and tower at the top of the village.
