For Macro Monday's "Made of Metal" theme.
(The measurement from inside the 3rd opening on the left-hand side is just under 3" across the width of the grater)
I'm not big on Cheddar or Feta cheese. I guess that makes this photo the grater of two evils :)
So I put the cheese grater on top of my iPad for light and colour. I'm not sure it's doing my screen any good but makes for a handy light source!
PS what do call a cheese with a little horse hiding behind it?
Mask-a -pony of course!
( these bracelets covered with enamel were love at the first sight, I rarely wear them . --- exactly 3 "(7.6 cm) in diameter )

The metal security strip of a UK £20 note. Several holographic designs are fabricated on the metal. The lighthouse is complete with radiating rings of light and even a weather vane.
This view is about 10mm across and the white lighting took some moving about to generate the holographic colours..
As there are more visitors, comments and faves, I may have missed yours, or took a longer time to reply, my sincere apologies. But thanks everyone for your support
Taken for the Macro Monday theme of made of metal. Part of a potato masher and cropped to be within the 3" inch limit
There was too much choice this week for the Macro Monday's theme of "made of metal" for someone like me who finds decision making so difficult! In the end I went with looking through the handle of this planished metal tray which was holding another planished metal container. I always like the way these indentations reflect the various colours around them.

I cut off a piece of an Aluminium foil pan and rolled it up.
I placed it on a mirror and use a thumb tack to represent its eye horn.
The yellow background is a plastic bag. A trail of water to represent the snail's slime complete the picture.
Natural light through the window and an LED torch light at 4 o'clock.
Aluminum foil is 98.5% aluminum with the balance primarily from iron and silicon to give strength and puncture resistance.
The molten alloy is rolled thin and solidified between large, water-cooled chill rollers.
Many thanks for your visit, comments and faves...it is always appreciated.
