The Common Pheasant (Phasianus colchicus), is a bird in the pheasant family (Phasianidae). It is native to Asia and has been widely introduced elsewhere as a game bird. In parts of its range, namely in places where none of its relatives occur such as in Europe (where it is naturalized), it is simply known as the "pheasant". Ring-necked Pheasant is both the name used for the species as a whole in North America and also the collective name for a number of subspecies and their intergrades which have white neck rings.

Day 200 - Meta Art
I call this one Painter In The Park. I took this picture on the Worldwide Photo Walk Day. I took part in the Palmyra, New York walk.

My Meta: many of a foggy morning.
Themes in this picture:
Diepte (De schuine lijnen van de weg en straatlantaarns geeft diepte aan een foto die anders door de mist heel plat zou zijn.)
Things I hate (ik haat vroeg uit bed moeten!)
Scheef (door de schuine lijnen lijkt de foto ook scheef te staan)
Pluizig (door de mist zijn de straatlantaarns heel fluffy)
Onwerkelijk (mist heeft nu eenmaal dat effect)
Nat (mist is ook nat)
Stadsgezicht (Eingenlijk niet helemaal, je ziet niet meer dan wat donkere vormen in de achtergrond, maar normaal zie je hier allemaal hoge gebouwen)
(ver)licht(ing) (straatlantaarns, informatieborden... ze geven allemaal licht!)
Nacht (het was zo vroeg, en zo donker, het voelde nog als nacht)
Lijnen (het stadslandschap creert allerlij lijnen)
Onbekend (wie weet wie en wat zich allemaal in deze mist bevind?)
Eng (donker en mist... best enge condities om op je eentje te zijn)
So, in our travels somewhere along the Iowa Division of the IC, Keith and I stumbled across a tank car with the phrase Bad Meta-Sin on it. For some odd reason Keith took a liking to the car and recreated it on one of his cars for his layout. While neither of us were crazy about the growing trend that was taking over the modern rolling stock, it does make for a fond memory.
