I don't usually drink merlots, because there are a lot of them that I don't like. I don't find that I can just take a chance on a random merlot and expect to like it (the way I can with zinfandels, for example). But my husband bought this one based on a review that described it in a way that made it sound like something we would like. And we both do like it. Opened this bottle April 10.

Concert photos from May 23, 2017 at the Westerner Center in Red Deer, AB. The opening act was "The James Barker Band" followed by "Madeline Merlot" with "Dean Brody" headlining.

Twice a day while the crushed grapes ferment, the caps must be punched down. This ensures good contact between the grape seeds/skins and the juice.
