Merlot is a 7 year old Bengal.
How he managed to be so still when this picture was taken is amazing as he is always on the move. He is more like a dog than a cat. He can shake a paw, roll over and come when called.
He is able to jump 6 feet from a stand still.
I have pictures of him walking a one inch ledge across my 12 foot high window ledge.
The oak shavings now wet - but still staying steadfastly on the surface (hey, wood floats you know).
The juice was at 27C (the instructions recommend 20-25C) and the OG was 1.070 (instructions tell you to expect 1.064 to 1.090)
So it was time to add the yeast (saccharomyces bayanus if you want the full details). Instructions say explicitly not to stir it in, so I left it on the surface and closed the lid. Oddly, the yeast packet said to rehydrate before use... but the kit instructions just said pitch it straight in.
This all sits in the fermenter now for 14 days (that's why I just bought a second bucket... partly I'm going to need one to help me bottle the Bishop's Tipple and partly I don't want to wait 14 days before starting my next batch of beer)
Los misterios encerrados en una botella sólo pueden ser contados al calor de las sensaciones que provoca su contenido...
Y si es en lamejor Cia. no hay comparación... =)
Well to me all the grapes looked the same but I guess when you grow for wine they are very different.
