Posing here in all its splendor (and incredible drinkability)—Strawberry White Merlot. This beauty is bright and refreshing and offers great strawberry notes, tangy acidity, and a crisp delicate finish (that's the Merlot talking). This Strawberry White Merlot pairs with pork, chicken, and veggie dishes. No need to wait for dinner to uncork a bottle though, this is a great wine to just kick back and relax with on the porch and works well as an alternative to a wine cooler (not that you'd even THINK of popping open one of those). A cool 9% alcohol hits the sweet spot. Any takers? www.mountainbaywinery.com

Pleasant Merlot; a little lighter than most, but finishes nicely. Picked it up at Trader Joe's for $12.
* 1 oz. Chambord Raspberry Liqueur
* Red Wine.
Put 1oz Chambord in a tumbler add a few cubes of ice. Fill the glass with Dark Merlot Wine.
I love the label on this wine but the merlot itself is only so-so. It's not BAD (I'm drinking a glass of it right now) but I wouldn't buy it again.
This Merlot blend is layered with flavors of dark berries, licorice and espresso alongside lots of richness, full-bodied structure, and desirable length.In addition to these flavors, hints of cigar paper, cocoa, caramel and nutmeg are wrapped around a remarkably smooth mid-palate full of velvety texture and depth.On the long finish, suggestions of toasty oak make it through the palate with mouth-filling black fruit aromas and hints of cola framed by plush tannins.

Montagne Saint-Emilion.
