How could one resist this bottle of romanian red available from the co-op for only 3.48? It was actually the label that caught my eye though, not the price.
What *exactly* is that supposed to mean?
A bottle of Salmon Harbor Merlot I got to have with my Chicken With Provençal Sauce. The label caught my eye. I was about the get the Chardonnay, but then I remembered Sideways. ;-)
Day Sixty-Nine: February 19th, 2007.
The high point of the day is dinner with K at Blackwoods in Proctor. A delicious dinner, the corn bread is to DIE for. And we go nuts on dessert!
I've been in a down slump lately and it probably isn't the best idea to mix alcohol with that. But... I need to relax a little.
The house merlot is excellent. A few glasses with dinner and a glass at the bar. Interesting conversation with some people at the bar. I embarass K with our "pretend" relationship. She won't let me have a dog! I mean, REALLY!
Anyway... the high point.
The low point comes later at home when I'm alone with my thoughts.

Anyways, Happy New Years! Suzuki and some of many friends.
Our dedicated duo of housepainters who have been painting our villa for nearly 3 months, decorated Merlots living arrangements before they left, complete with Christmas cards and tinsel plus a donation to a worthy cause. the purchase of a girlfriend for Merlot. RubyRose is coming home next week.Such excitement at our little patch of paradise!!
