Who knew?? November 7th is International Merlot Day . My frickin' birthday ... it took me 59 years to figure this out???

Tastes better than it looks, but don't kid yourself. I wouldn't bring this out at anything beyond a casual get together.

The martini in question. OK. I couldn't wait until I could take a picture when it was full. You see the point at which I was able to pry myself away.

Today I was thinking of my friend, Greg in Chicago and hoping that he is enjoying a cold martini as well.

Twas -5 the other morn as i trundled out to lop Merlot vines at 8am.......a sad task as i am an unabashed fan of Aussie Merlot, and Mount Majura Merlot in particular, but the stuff just doesn't sell (well). Had been sighting large groups of Diamond Firetail birds in these vines the past week so had my camera with me and the frigid condition's produced some fine art with icy spider webs everywhere :)....

Haha. Kalau kat justkhai, korang dah diperkenalkan dengan Miss Merlot (HP ProBook), harini meh berkenalan dengan Mr Merlot plak. Hehe. Rumah dia pun warna merlot okeh. Hehe. Aquarium ni beli kat Tesco.

Cantik gila dan murah. Macam2 warna ada. RM34 something la. Ikan plak ikan Pelaga Jantan sebab senang nak jaga. Cancel terus nak bela Clown Fish (ikan Nemo).. Hehe. Best gile ada ikan ni buat teman time wat kerja.

Our cat Merlot, made into a cute lolita catgirl. ^_^ I painted this soon after we got her.

We're growing these in our backyard. We have an abundant crop this year. I'll have to learn how to make wine now.

Had a few glasses of this tonight at a friend's house and absolutely loved it. As per usual, I added it to Cork'd and put it on my Shopping List:

Francis Coppola Director's Reserve 2000 Napa Valley Merlot

El vino variedad de merlot se caracteriza por su finura y suavidad, sin dejar de ser aromático y carnoso.

Es de color rubí muy intenso, de graduación mediana y envejece rápidamente sin perder calidad.

Se complementa bien en trasiegos con garnacha para los vinos jóvenes, y con cabernet sauvignon, bobal o tempranillo para la crianza.
