Le Merlot représente 63% des plantations du Bordelais. Deux tiers des plantations mondiales de Merlot sont en France.
I have to admit that I bought this wine purely for the label. :-) It turns out it's pretty tasty too. And cheap!
On the back label
Somewhere near the cool shadows of the laundry room.
Past the litter box and between the plastic yard toys.
This is your time.
Time to enjoy a moment to yourself.
A moment without the madnes.
The dishes can wait.
Dinner be damned.
Mad Housewife Merlot.
UPDATE:
I sent this photo and the back label text to some of my friends, and told them I was disappointed in how low-key the verbage was compared to the sassy photo. One of them came back with this modification LOL
Newly amended back label by Beth:
somewhere near the lurking shadows of the crusty mound of laundry.
Past the overloaded litter box from hell and between the plastic smile you give the lazy hubby while gritting your teeth
This is your time.
Time to pour some red and silent scream into the pillow.
A moment without the madness.
The dishes can wait. You can buy new ones.
Dinner be damned. They know where the cereal box is.
Mad Housewife Merlot.
Got some work done today - only problem is my husband changed what he wanted, so I had to order more pink and leaves.
Great depth of color and aroma!

Winery spokespersons will often talk about food pairings. Gioia Bonmartini —of Barone Fini Wines of Italy— took the next, logical, step.
She not only talked about food pairings for her Pinot Grigio and Merlot at a meeting with Select Wines, Inc. (a northern Virginia wine distributor) , she demonstrated it..literally. While talking, she made fresh pesto and cooked pasta.
*************
RECIPE
2 parts fresh basil
1 part Italian parsley
a "healthy handful' of fresh mint
several chunks of Parmigiano-Reggiano
bag of pine nuts (untoasted)
olive oil (a wonderfully fruity, fresh, and green oil that she had brought back from Italy) .
Process thoroughly. The flavors were so bright, full, and fresh, that she used no garlic. Tasted with the Merlot, the nuttiness of the pesto came forward.

For second course, Ms. Bonmartini paired both her wines with ... Nutella! View: here.

Took this about a year ago, and it's been pinned up in the kitchen until I decided to scan it today.
