Nice to see a Juvenile Merlin land right next to me in decent light for a change

Not the greatest POV but this guy was just giving me the business when i was walking evidently too close to an unseen nest with my dog.

As we walked through a kissing gate imagine our surprise to find this female Merlin perched within 6 or 7 metres from us! She posed for a couple of photos and then flew off into a tree. A first for me!

Many thanks to all who take the time to view, comment or fav my images.

Merlin is Gismo's brother, both are now 10 weeks old.

Unfortunately, her mom didn't get along with my older cats at all.

But my sister was so kind and took care of her and since I kept the little one, there were no problems with her cats either.

However, the previous person couldn't (or didn't want to) take his brother in after all, so I brought him in too. The joy of seeing the two sweet guys again brings tears to my eyes, making it impossible for me to regret my decision.

We live in a fantasy world, a world of illusion. The great task in life is to find reality.
