It took two weeks before we found a whale shark in the island of Saw Mon Hia, Mergui Archipelago. This one was probably a very young female about 6m long. She was curious and accepted us. She remained with us for over half an hour before disappearing in the deep.

Manta's are classed as large Eagle rays. These large pelagics can be found in temperate, sub-tropical and Tropical waters and migrate across open oceans.
