Norsworthy after he rain. Hand held shot.

Sarangkot is Ward 18 of Pokhara, Kaski District, Nepal, after it was merged into the city in 2015. It is a popular tourist destination for those who arrive in Pokhara. At the 1991 Nepal census it had a total population of 5,060 with 1,010 individual households.

The Ward is located on Sarangkot, a hill on the western side of Pokhara with an altitude of 1600m. Sarangkot is known for its panoramic Himalayan views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu. It also provides an expansive view of the city of Pokhara, from the extreme north to the south including Phewa Lake. Tourists drive up the hill to watch the sunrise from the view tower at the top. In recent years, Sarangkot has been called one of the best paragliding locations in the world. The hike up from the Pokhara Baglung highway at Miruwa to Sarangkot takes 90 minutes to 1.5hours.

This captivating scene features the vibrant hues of the morning sky casting a warm glow over the majestic Himalayan mountains.

NS heritage ES44ACs 8103 and 8099 bring 210 into Atlanta, Georgia on the morning of March 8, 2020. 38 years ago Norfolk & Western and Southern Railway merged creating Norfolk Southern.

Grenzgletscher (Border Glacier), in the centre of the image, flowing down the valley between the high peaks Dufourspitze (4634 m, background left) and Liskamm (aka Lyskamm, 4533 m, background right), and Gornergletscher (Gorner Glacier), joining the scene from the left. Even though Grenzgletscher is the dominant tributary, downstream of the merger the glacier is called Gornergletscher (foreground right). Seen from the 3100 metres high Gornergrat (Gorner Ridge; canton of Valais, Switzerland), which can be reached by rack railway from the resort village of Zermatt.

That was the situation in 1992. Meanwhile, the European Alps have been affected heavily by glacier melt and retreat due to global warming, and as a consequence the upper Gornergletscher has lost contact to its lower part.

40 Grad Urban Art Festivals 2024

Artists: ANNA TARATIEL & BONA_BERLIN

Many thanks for faves and comments!!!

Decided to try my hand at a merged photo. Bonsai rock was not very well lit so took a photo before night and then merged it with the night sky.

A forgotten composition from last November which has recently become more appealing to me so I though I’d give processing a go. Obviously the composition looked ok while I was on location but other photographs from a really sublime morning had more appeal, particularly one which I really love and is pinned on top of my gallery together with my much missed beloved dogs. The foreground looks a bit messy but I was taken by how the concrete slaps merged to a point, what do you think. Maybe a better image black and white my usual take on manmade carbuncle’s.

Visiting Loss by Senna Coronet @Berg by Nordan Art - From July through September 2017

"This show is dedicated to my good friend Amona Savira, who left us earlier this year quite unexpectedly. Her passing was an absolute shock to me but sadly it was just one of a few losses I suffered this year. When Kate asked me to fill in this show slot that had been intended for Amona, I was happy to try and do it justice, even though other pressures didn't seem to want me to complete it. I think what I experienced this year with all the events in my life, is that regardless of how tragic and harsh things can be, you cannot let things consume you and paralyze you. Suffering, remorse, sadness are all healthy emotions but they must not take over your life. Keeping things in perspective and getting back to the business of living your life can be hard but must be a priority. It's hard and you can get lost. I know because I did get lost a bit this year. I know you all have experienced these things your self, this shoot was a bit of therapy for me. Thanks, Dr. Kate!"
