Take a look at this splendid one Pound diecast Police van and tell me you wouldn't be extremely disappointed that its same priced replacement resembles nothing you'll find on the road and looks more like something you'd see in a cartoon! Sadly thats what has happened at Tesco recently when they had their pre Christmas toy aisle reset. Out goes Realtoy and in comes the vomit inducing sounding Carousel range which surprise surprise comprises of 100% generic HTI models! This Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was probably one of the last genuinely all new Realtoy castings which appeared here in the U.K. and as ever it certainly didn't disappoint. A fully licensed product and it shows in its supremely accurate body style and detailing which extends to seats and dashboard and a weighty all metal body. One of very many bought back in August 2016 when it first appeared at Tesco as part of a revamped Emergency singles range. Mint and boxed.

No licensed Daimler-Benz model here but there's no hiding the fact this is supposed to be a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter of the first generation variety. Made by Pioneer who are really quite adept at making realistic looking unlicensed models which are nearly always covered in interesting liveries and logos. This is a budget item but still manages to have an all metal body which is well finished, crisply cast and even has clear plastic headlamps. Part of a 10 vehicle set bought recently from Smyths Toys. Mint and boxed.

OSEA, Paralimni had a number of newish minibuses in use when I visited Paralimni om May 30th 2018. Seen here at Saint George is MXZ 131 which apparently had just arrived on a service 702 from Xylotympou via Avgorou and Deryneia. This route runs twice daily Monday to Friday and just once a day on Saturday and Sunday.
Two minibuses brought foot-passengers in addition to thirteen coaches seen at Stena terminal heading for the Rugby Six Nations - Ireland v Wales.game.

Commissioned from Rescue Bricks is this Lego model of real life Scottish Ambulance Service Mercedes Sprinter A&E vehicle, registration SW66 NPP, callsign GGC5240 (GGC = Greater Glasgow Central Station) based at Springburn Ambulance Station, Laverockhall Street in Glasgow.
I had this commissioned because 5240 has a special meaning to me, being the very first ambulance I drove on station. I have also personally modelled one of the Ford Transit Driver Training Units (DTU) used on my advanced & emergency response driving course, though that model is a code 3 Oxford Diecast in 1:76 scale (OO Gauge).
Heading South on the M61 about to pass under the Babylon Lane bridge, Heath Charnock. This Mercedes-Benz Sprinter mini coach is owned by Stat Coaches of Batley, West Yorkshire.
Another airport minibus shuttle seen at Heathrow on 23rd July, 2009, this time Hertz Mercedes Benz Sprinter Y982 TOJ. This would also be exported to Cyprus in 2012.

The Mountian Goat and the 555 are the two longstanding memories of the Lake District from my first visit in 1974 - along with the scariest ride on a Ribble Leyland Leopard ARN 590C trying to catch up time on a run back from Ambleside to Windermere. The Goat and the 555 are still with us although the Ribble Leopard must be long departed. De jongste wijk van Almere, Nobelhorst, wordt op dit moment nog bediend door een midibusje in de spits en een buurtbus de rest van de week. Over een week komt hier een einde aan en wordt ook deze wijk op het metrobusnet aangesloten met de nieuwe M8.
De buurtbus passeert hier op een omleiding via de Enrico Fermistraat vanwege asfalteringswerkzaamheden op de nieuwe busbaan.

Almere's youngest neighbourhood, Nobelhorst, is currently served by a small bus at peak hours and a neighbourhood bus in the remainder of the week. In one week time this will end and Nobelhorst will be connected to the metrobus network by the new route M8.
The neighbourhood bus is seen here passing on a deviation via the Enrico Fermistraat due to asphalt works on the new bus lane.
All the major supermarkets offer a home delivery service, but the idea goes back many generations.
I remember the "grocer's lad" on his bike with a basket on the front delivering customers orders. This role is well portrayed by David Jason (Granville) in the T.V. series Open All Hours.
Granville would have loved to have traded his bike for this Mercedes Benz Sprinter.
Brighton & Hove Community Transport operate a number of Mercedes Benz 515CDI UVM Trekas. This M77 BCT, originally WX08 AYS, one of five supplied new in 2018. It is seen on Eastern Road on 17th September, 2018.

HcL Transport’s Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus YB73 TZA was seen at Gyle Centre in west Edinburgh preparing for a midday run of local community bus service 68 connecting Gyle Centre and Corstorphine shops with Turnhouse, Craigmount, Drum Brae and Clermiston. HcL Transport were awarded a new tender for this route by City of Edinburgh Council and took over from McGill’s Scotland East on 01 July 2024
