Apparently, if you've been tagged, you're to feel obligated to do likewise and tag 16 others. I think it's only supposed to be 16 random facts about you, but somehow there's 17 on the last few.
You're to title your own meme/note with something that scares you... which I won't do because I don't want people to know that.
Anyway, on with the show... 17 Random Things about Jef... I mean, Warren Sable:
1. There are three types of people in this world. Those who understand numbers, and those who don't. I'm one of those who don't.
2. I not only have revenge fantasies, I carry them out.
3. History interests me a great deal, but not enough to memorize it and regurgitate it at anyone else.
4. My Dad bestowed me with a healthy disrespect for authority and with a love of blowing things up, neither of which will he ever admit.
5. I aspire to travel, but I haven't done much of it yet.
6. Mr. Dressup never had half the cool costumes I have now. I never really use my costumes for anything. (non-Canadians will have to Google Mr. Dressup).
7. In high school, a half-wit teacher pissed me off and I walked out of his class, went home and sulked. My Mom came home and wondered why I was home so early and when I told her, she said she'd done the same thing 20 years earlier - with the same teacher!!
8. Abandoned buildings are some of my favourite places to be.
9. I am incapable of drinking even tiny amounts beer, gin, or wine without getting incredibly drunk, sick, and hung over, but I can drink an entire 26 of vodka in one night and wake up wanting to go do something early the next morning.
10. In my possession is a scroll for a player piano. It will play 'Puttin' on the Ritz' if I ever find a piano that will play it. And you thought it was hard finding an 8-track player.
11. I don't believe paying for a stall next to a hundred people with RVs is camping.
12. I will never be convinced there's anything more worthless than a dog, other than nipples on men. It's a pretty close one in the most worthless department there.
13. I have spent many hours walking in storm drains, for fun and sometimes in winter, never once wearing rubber boots or hip waders.
14. I have explored deep inside a long abandoned mine (with others) for eight hours, through 200' vertical shafts with nothing to hang onto but rotten wood and rusted pipe, risking great danger, but loving every minute of it.
15. I enjoy my life, for the most part.
16. I don't sleep as often as I should or for as long as I should.
17. I cannot stand the sound of telephones ringing or bells in general. The sound makes me instantly angry - this comes from having an old fashioned telephone switchboard in our house growing up. Not only was there the switchboard, but a fire alarm type bell in every room so you'd hear the phone ring no matter where you were. My parents ran a 24 hour answering service in the days before answering machines and voice mail. I put a cloth wrapped piece of corrugated cardboard between the bell and clapper in my room but it still made an awful noise when the phone rang. Damn, I really hate ringing phones.
