C'est la famille des Essarts qui va créer Ambleville, même si rien n'atteste ou ne confirme d'une époque antérieure. Une famille qui s'alliera au XVI à la famille des Mornay, famille illustre. C'est la famille des Mornay qui va donner l'ensemble italien que l'on peut voir aujourd'hui. Le château et les jardins s'inspirent directement des traditions toscanes d'Italie ce qui confère au château une ressemble très net avec des châteaux de la Loire, toute proportion gardé bien sûr. Mais cette architecture aux portes du Vexin est à ma connaissance unique. Surtout qu'il a eu la chance ( ou la malchance ) d'être sur un ancien château médiéval. Mme de Maintenon y viendra régulièrement avec ses enfants illégitimes à l'époque.

A family which in the 16th century allied itself to the Mornay family, an illustrious family. It was the Mornay family who created the Italianate ensemble that can be seen today. The castle and the gardens are directly inspired by the Tuscan traditions of Italy, which gives the castle a clear resemblance with the castles of the Loire, all proportion kept of course. But this architecture at the gates of the Vexin is, to my knowledge, unique. Especially that it had the chance (or the misfortune) to be on an old medieval castle. Mme de Maintenon came there regularly with her illegitimate children at the time.

He's already back on Earth, but I took this picture of Mike doing some science last week because it looked so cool. On the Space Station we have a tight schedule and all of us are always doing different things. Often we don't know exactly what the other person is doing, and it is a testament to the planners at mission control that they ensure we don't get in each other's way all the time. Think of all the constraints, from power, to vibrations, equipment, time and physical space inside the Station, during the week we were 11 of us it was hectic but we also got so much done. Mike was packing the RTPCG-2 experiment for its return to Earth, it involves growing protein crystals in space that are helping researchers identify new ways of making medicine.
Il est déjà de retour sur Terre, mais j'aime bien cette photo de Mike prise la semaine dernière. Je n'avais aucune idée de l'expérience sur laquelle il travaillait : ça reflète bien notre quotidien. À bord de la Station, les plannings sont très serrés et tout le monde s'affaire sans arrêt. Le plus souvent, on ne sait même pas ce que font les autres astronautes. Au centre de contrôle, nos planneurs travaillent durs pour éviter qu'on ait besoin des mêmes équipements ensemble. Et à 11 la semaine dernière, on leur a donné du fil à retordre ! Alimentation électrique, disponibilité des équipements, vibrations ou même simplement le fait d'avoir assez d'espace physique pour travailler : il y a énormément de contraintes à prendre en compte. J'ai fini par lui poser la question : Mike rangeait l'expérience RTPCG-2 avant de la ramener sur Terre. Elle sert à étudie la croissance de cristaux de protéines en impesanteur. À terme, elle devrait aider les chercheurs à découvrir de nouveaux moyens de fabriquer des médicaments.

1. What sculpt is/was your first doll?
Ummm, It is a toss up.:3 I first bought a Volks SD13 boy body on eBay, then later a Souldoll Little Kimmy, then I bought a F-16 head for the body. A really slow stretched out birth for that boy!
2. Do you still own this doll?
Yes! Both are are very special! :)
3. Was your first doll your grail?
I did not know of such a thing then, but I really wanted a Volks Lucas. And a short time later a Bermann or hound---I did not know the difference between the two Dollshes back then! @.@;
4. How long did you have to wait from the moment you decided on the doll to actually buying?
Hmmmm, About a year or more. Bought Shin's body in probably early 2006 and his head April 08
5. Did you buy it or was it a gift?
I saved up by skimming off the grocery money for about eight months! I really wanted one bad! 8>
I bought the head with a tax return.
6. Why did you choose the doll you did as your first?
My mother and I have collected dolls ever since I was little. I started seeing Volks dolls (cute boy dolls!) and other bjd in her Haute Doll magazines. I had big hearts in my eyes!
7. Did you have a character in mind as soon as you saw the doll or did it develop after arrival?
I did not really know about that sort of thing till later. I just wanted Shin to be a cute boy who liked collecting things
8. Do any of your friends own the same sculpt?
Many folks own f-16s, but I don’t think I know anyone with a little Kimmy.
9. If you could go back and change your decision to buy the doll you did as your first, would you?
I might wait and buy a whole Volks doll first. :3
10. How did you learn about BJDs?
Through my mother’s Haute Doll magazines.<3
