VC4Africa members come together for 2nd London Meetup

The next Drupal Meetup taking place in Washington, DC, will be on Wednesday, July 18th, at the Science Club (1136 19th Street, NW). We’ll get the meeting started around 6:30 pm with a round of Yuenglings, and you can bet that with weather like this, we’ll be picking up the first round.

At 7:00 pm we’ll get down to business with five-minute egg timer talks, and this time I’ll remember to bring the egg timer. We’ll do between six to eight talks, keeping this part of the meetup under 40 minutes. Post any ideas of what you’d like to talk about or learn more about on drupal groups: groups.drupal.org/node/5063 – it’s first come first serve.

One point of business: Since the meetups have grown so much, we’d like to get them going on a regular schedule. From now on there will be a Drupal Meetup the third Wednesday of each month, and it will always be on the second floor of the Science Club. We hope this makes it easier for everyone to plan on being there.

See you all next week. I can’t wait to hear what you’ve been working on!

The AXLE Spring 2011 gathering at the Watch City Brewery in Waltham, MA on 26th April.

Team Mercury meetup (and a few days after) in Denver, Colorado.

If you've never checked it out, go over to the Argus Building at William & 3rd streets, and on the second floor landing there's a cool display of Argus cameras--Ann Arbor's great contribution to the history of photography. And then, remember to thank George for all his work in putting it together!

EDIT: Unfortunately I need to note here that George died in the fall of 2007

Green Change hosted a Clean Transportation Meetup at Good Earth in Mill Valley on July 23, 2019, to discuss how we can fight climate change by using different modes of transportation: ride clean vehicles, use public transit, drive less and walk or bike more.

This free community meetup was moderated by Fabrice Florin and featured short talks by these guest speakers:

• Stephanie Moulton-Peters - Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM)

• Carleen Cullen - Drive Clean Marin

• Karen Wiener - The New Wheel

• Wendi Kallins - Sustainable Marin

• Patrick Seidler - Wilderness Trail Bikes

We presented these climate actions that people can take to use clean transportation:

• Get an Electric Car

• Get an Electric Bike

• Take Public Transit

• Drive Smart

• Ride a Bike

• Walk More

After the talks, we discussed our personal experiences about using clean transportation in our own lives, connecting experts with people who are just getting started.

This free community event was sponsored by Good Earth Natural Foods and took place in the new community room at their Mill Valley store. GreenChange.net will host more climate action meetups in this room in fall 2019.
