Apart from the viewfinder mask, the only modification to the camera involved fitting two rails on either side of the film gate to provide support for 120 film. They were made from black plastic angle machined to fit and lie flush with the original guides, and are glued in place with two-part epoxy. This modification is vital to prevent the 120 film from being sucked or sagging into the un-supported void when the camera is opened. I know people do use 616's successfully without doing this, but it's taking a needless chances, I reckon.
