It being a very tiring week. With just a week of study leave to finish off all the lecture notes. Definitely, the time is not enough. now stuck at my study table for the whole of the time got pain in the back already
(T-T). Reading, revising and memorizing notes. That my routine for this period of time.
My final exam going to start from 8 to 16 December 2009. Best of luck for those who also having exam at this time. Do remember to pray for me. =)
ps: insyallah, there's going to be a "Photo Hunting" a.k.a photo outing in Dublin city centre on 19 December 2009. Subject to changes and i will inform back the details for those who interested as soon as possible after i finished my exams.
Today is the last day of my last summer for three years. Sigh.

Science has many dark secrets.
There are none as dark when you get some clown that thinks it is a scientist and there is nothing to stop it.
The screams and wails in the dark halls are the only progress that it seems to have.
The progress must be made, it can always get more Test Subjects.

Portrait of my friend Ali. This was completely an experimenting portrait shoot. I mounted the flash on my camera and had to turn 90 degree in the same direction as where my friend is watching.
In PS I added the vintage style effect with coloring and did a little whitebalance tweak.
The image was taken on Kodachrome slide film and digitised using a Kaiser Baas Photomaker.

The med school hasn't had a float in the homecoming parade since sometime in the 70's. This year a few people organized a float around our mission of providing rural primary care across the state. They were looking for someone with a tractor and trailer to pull it. Of course, I knew just the guy for this job, my husband. The weather was beautiful. Students walked and handed out candy. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. I didn't get any great photos but memories were made!

Revlimit, ElDave, Dogface, and definitely Heels may beat me in the beauty competition, but I definitely beat them in the talent, efficiency, and homemaking challenges. And I do it with a smile on my face. I'm the kind of princess you bring home to mom.

PPS Please don't tell Ryan I posted this, he would be very upset because he wants you all to know that he does do things around the house a lot and that he works all day. I did take a bit of creative liberty with these secret shots, I'll give him that. He helped me do half of the vacuuming, actually.

Accompanying essay:-
I spent 4 weeks on a mobile clinic trek in the Indian Himalayas, in the region of Ladakh - one of the most remote areas in the world. Clinics were set up when and where possible - by rivers, in forests or even in monasteries. The perfect setting was rarely found but patients had to be examined - their one chance to seek medical help that year could not be missed.
Like most of the other village inhabitants, this woman was suffering from photokeratitis (sun-related eye damage). Working in the fields all day, without any eye protection, means that this was one of the most common complaints at our clinic. We had some sunglasses in our pharmacy but unfortunately not enough to give to every patient.
This little girl kept hitting the fundoscope away, seeming to fear it would hurt her mother. By playing with the child and pretending the instrument was a toy, we were able to convince her that it was harmless. In these remote villages, community and family spirit are the most valuable assets they own - an ethic clearly learned at an early age.
I was doing LA (local anesthetic) to one of kids during Sunathon 2007. You can see
the enviroment/operating room was not so sterile and this can results in bacteria/virus infections.
