These mountains were formed by volcanic eruptions and have been under intensive weathering for millions of years. The slopes occur this way naturally. The brilliant red, yellow and orange colors are due to iron oxide and other metals present in the rocks. Early prospectors were drawn to this area because of these colorful mountains. They looked for these colors and creeks with high mineral content to locate gold. In fact, the red color of iron oxide was considered a "dead give-away" that there was gold in the area.
This is a cool effect, little loose metal tiles on a large water substation. In the breeze, they glitter like the scales of a fish. It makes it look like the building is moving. — in Singapore.
